The Chairs are a place of mutual enrichment between academic and economic circles with pedagogical practices strongly linked to the use in companies.

The creation of a Chair responds to a need of the economic world. It uses human resource potential as well as academic and corporate skills. In the Grandes Écoles, Chairs involve teaching teams, teacher-researchers, researchers, doctoral or post-doctoral students and, of course, students.

Concretely, the activities of a Chair can take several forms:

  • Research and transfer activities,
  • Innovative approaches (eg: through the recruitment of a PhD student to work on a given problem)
  • Training of students through specialized courses or in the form of options,
  • Thematic conferences or specialized seminars,
  • Meetings between the companies of the Chair to exchange good practices,
  • Creation of diploma courses (MBA, Master, Specialized Masters) and teaching tools
  • Publication of scientific and professional articles, dissemination of knowledge, case preparation, and scholarships, etc.

It depends on the need of the company; or companies as the Chair can also be multi-company.

To date, IÉSEG has developed three Chairs: a Chair with the ADEO group and Leroy Merlin on Omnichannel and Customer Experience; one with Crédit Agricole on Digital Banking and Big Data; and one in Marketing, E-commerce and Distribution with La Redoute.
