“How I Met Your Start-Up”: Grand final of the first edition of Tribune IÉSEG’s public speaking contest

Logo Concours eloquence LilleThe student association La Tribune IÉSEG organized on March 30, 2016, the final of its public-speaking competition: “How I Met Your Start-Up”. This original entrepreneurially focused contest gathered IÉSEG students, start-ups and representatives from the corporate sector.

Following the selections held on March 10, where six startups* each chose a IÉSEG student to represent their project in the final, the six finalists each had ten minutes to impress a jury of professionals including potential investors, and high-level representatives from major companies (such as Adecco, Leroy Merlin, Oracle) a media organization, and public-speaking experts.

The jury, chaired by Christophe Catoir, Président of Adecco France group, then selected three winners.

In first place was Pierre Lesage, who won a trip for two to the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa and the possibility to spend a week’s work experience with the Director of Public Relations of the AccorHotels group. Arthur Berthault (2nd place) and Eliot Grondel (3rd) each received a magnum of Champagne Taittinger while all finalists received chocolates from the maison Au Bonbon Royal de Paris.
