France

Before joining IÉSEG, I was living in Malmö, Sweden, where I completed an International Baccalaureate. I chose IÉSEG because of its international focus and its location in France. I felt it was important to come back to my home country for a few years and build a network. I chose the Bachelor in International Business (BIB) program because I was looking to study business in English and with a strong international perspective. I also liked the fact that a three-year program would then give me the opportunity to specialize in a business-related discipline at Master’s level.

I have really appreciated the interaction with teachers, as well as the opportunity to learn about my international classmates’ different cultures. One of my favorite courses this semester has been “the essentials of selling”, which combines practical and theoretical elements. I have also enjoyed Business Law, as I have already learnt a lot about the “do’s and don’ts” of doing business in real life.

There is always something happening on campus and France has so much to offer, especially culturally. Lille is also a very young city that is very “dynamic” and has many green spaces and parks which is really nice in the spring and the summer. After I graduate I first want to take a gap year to travel, work and learn more languages. I would then like to complete my studies with a Master in Marketing or a Master in Management.

Senegal

Before coming to IÉSEG, I was in Senegal doing the international baccalaureate.

I choose IÉSEG based on the rankings of French business schools. The school is triple accredited and internationally oriented, which was an important criterion for me. The school offers various opportunities regarding internships, semesters abroad, etc. In addition, I had contacts that were already at IÉSEG and they gave me positive feedback on the school and its programs. Hence, it seemed to be the right fit for me.
I chose the BIB program firstly for its length. It is a 3-year program, which is convenient if you have different alternatives in the future like starting your professional career early and getting some experience before doing a master’s. The program is entirely taught in English and it is mainly constituted of international students, which was appealing at the time I was making my decision.

Every day, I enjoy meeting new students from different countries or from cultures that I did not know much about. It is a nice experience to share classes with people from a different background than yours because you start seeing things from a new perspective. You acquire a cultural mindset as you study at IÉSEG, and I appreciate that very much.
I liked various classes in the program such as Statistics, HRM, Financial Analysis, Fundamentals of Strategy, CSR, etc. mainly due to the pedagogy and enthusiasm of the professors.(...)

Colombia

Before I came to IÉSEG I completed my high school studies in Medellin, Colombia.

I decided to apply to IÉSEG for my undergraduate studies because I wanted to study in France and I saw that IÉSEG had everything I was looking for. The School is well ranked and it has quality education and the cost of living in France and tuition is affordable. I chose the Bachelor in International Business because of the three-year format, the fact the program is taught entirely in English, and for its international approach.

The courses I have enjoyed the most in this program so far are Maths, Statistics and Finance. They have highlighted for me the importance of working with numbers in international business. I highly recommend studying in Lille because it’s a very student-friendly city with lots of young people. It is also the perfect city for travelling because of its proximity to the main cities in Western Europe. Once I finish the BIB I’m planning to take my first steps in the professional world before specializing further by taking Master program in finance or business.

Vietnam

Before joining IÉSEG, I was living in Vietnam, where I completed my high school studies. The reason why I chose IÉSEG was its reputation as a French Grande Ecole with a long-lasting history and the “triple crown” of international accreditations: EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. During my studies, I have seen how reliable IÉSEG is in terms of teaching strategy, the level of professionalism inside the school, etc.

Studying in the BIB program has given me fundamental knowledge in different fields, such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resource, sales, etc. Furthermore, IÉSEG has not only given me the chance to learn about the business world; it has also given me the chance to discover myself, and to develop my skills to become a future manager. The BIB program is a very international program, and is suitable for you if in the future you want to work in an international company, with a diverse workforce.

My three years in France have been a great experience and have given me the opportunity to learn a third language.

I would like to stay here to continue my studies because France is a country with a strong economy within Europe. I plan to get my Master’s degree at IÉSEG and work in the Sales Department of a well-established company.

Philippines

Before coming to IÉSEG, I was an expatriate child completing most of my secondary studies in Indonesia, and the final year in the Philippines. From a young age, I realized the importance of intercultural understanding, networking and exploration of extracurricular interests, which led to my long-standing interests in foreign language acquisition and travel.

I chose IÉSEG as I valued an education in an international environment that not only fosters academic development, but especially personal and professional development. Moreover, it was a personal ambition to live in France, and to do so at the Bachelor level following an international and English-language curriculum was a unique opportunity.

I chose the Bachelor in International Business (BIB) programme as I intended to find employment right after completion. The programme distinguished itself by its practical, applied, and professional approach, which was not only evident throughout the program with its courses and compulsory internships, but from the onset with the candidacy.
