“Being a powerful leader is not an easy task in our modern age. Leaders have the major responsibility of making decisions on behalf of the collective interest in the context of economic and financial crises, climate change, poverty, immigration, the threat of terrorism, and war. One striking notion is that people often respond with suspicion of the morality of the actions and motives of their leaders.

Why are people frequently suspicious of their leaders? What can leaders do to reduce suspiciousness and earn the trust of their followers?”
