Terms such as responsible technology and digital responsibility are used so commonly and in such diverse ways and contexts that the term has lost a lot of its meaning. Kieran will challenge a number of assumptions regarding digital responsibility, particularly regarding how time is often over-simplified or ignored. Despite the responsible technology movement, tech overuse and addiction, and technostress disrupts our natural rhythms. Despite the rise of so-called \u2018speed and efficiency increasing\u2019 technology, mental health and stress issues are at an all-time high across all demographics &#8211; children, adults and older people. People are spending less time with family and on social activities. People work longer hours, and issues such as performative workaholism are widespread. Kieran will discuss these temporal aspects of technology. He will also introduce a new \u20ac3.5m project called ROSETTA (RespOnSiblE Time and Tech in an Accelerated Digitised World) where the specific aim is to address the temporal aspects of technology design, use and regulation. This postdoctoral fellowship programme which will recruit 19 world-class researchers as part of the EU\u2019s Marie Sk\u0142odowska Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND scheme and Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Research Centre for Software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a class=\"btn btn-transparent\" href=\"https:\/\/acrobat.adobe.com\/link\/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:818a9064-e529-3fd9-b0b9-ba1725624f7c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">More Info<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Speakers: Kerian CONBOYUniversity of Galway April 9th, 2024 from 11am to 1pmin Paris campus (P400) &amp;
