As a special type of design activities, configuration involves the selection of suitable components from predefined ones, the association of selected components based on constraints, and the evaluation of configured products. It requires powerful knowledge representation formalism and acquisition methods to capture the variety and complexity of configurable products.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, efficient reasoning methods are required to support intelligent interactive behavior, solution search, satisfaction of user preferences, personalization, optimization, reconfiguration, and diagnosis.<\/p>\n

In the recent years, the applications of configuration principles have been investigated in other fields, such as process planning, supply chain management, and service process design.<\/p>\n

The main goal of the workshop is to promote high-quality research in all areas related to configuration.<\/strong> The workshop is of interest for both researchers and practitioners who are interested in the relationship between the configuration technique and business issues\/problems. It provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, evaluations, progresses, and experiences related to configuration activities, the use of AI tools in configuration, and the application of configuration principles in other fields.<\/p>\n
