I\u00c9SEG School of Management announces the development and improvement of its Lille campus, with the acquisition of a building that is located only a few meters from its existing campus at the heart of Lille\u2019s Vauban neighborhood.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The School has signed a sales agreement (acte de Vente en \u00c9tat Futur d\u2019Ach\u00e8vement) with Nacarat<\/a> and Carr\u00e9 Constructeur<\/a> for the reclassification of an office building as a higher education institution. Covering an area of nearly 12,000 m\u00b2, it will complement I\u00c9SEG’s current buildings and consolidate its historical roots in the Lille metropolis. The construction work, which began in January 2021, will continue until April 2023 for the beginning of the academic year in September 2023.<\/p>\n

\"AuditoriumIn the framework of its 2025 Vision, , the School unveiled in 2018 its plans for a future I\u00c9SEG Village, a vast renovation and extension project on its rue de la Digue campus<\/a><\/strong>, which will be completed next year<\/strong>. \u201cToday, this new building located on Boulevard Vauban, a few steps away from our historical premises, is part of the continuity of the I\u00c9SEG Village project and will allow us to continue to improve the quality of our infrastructures for the I\u00c9SEG community, while contributing to the city\u2019s image,\u201d Jean-Philippe Ammeux, Dean, explained.<\/p>\n

The former headquarters of Partenord Habitat, located at 27 boulevard Vauban in Lille, was chosen to host the new I\u00c9SEG building. This strategic address will allow the School to increase its areas dedicated to welcoming students. Rehabilitated by Nacarat and Carr\u00e9 Constructeur, the building, which today stands on 7 floors and has three levels of parking for a surface area of 8,500 m\u00b2, will undergo several changes. 2 extensions will be added to the initial building, and the parking level will be transformed.<\/p>\n

This project responds to the desire to offer adapted infrastructures open to the city in order to reinforce the qualitative progression of education.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Ext\u00e9rieur<\/p>\n

In line with the I\u00c9SEG Village project announced in 2018, the architect St\u00e9phane Degroote, from the DAD agency at the forefront of the architectural project has imagined a \u201cvillage square\u201d for the reception area, a place of life and exchanges, extending to a staircase serving the 5 levels dedicated to classrooms. The building will also include 2 lecture halls (260 and 117 seats respectively), a cafeteria, a startup incubator, offices for the faculty, adaptable spaces that will be able to be used notably as rooms for exams, along with rooms dedicated to student associations and creative spaces.<\/p>\n

The project is also part of a sustainable approach designed to encourage the development of urban biodiversity.<\/strong> In order to do this, the developers worked with the landscaper Odile Guerrier, along with ecologists from the City of Lille and from the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (bird conservation association). The terraces of the project, with a surface area of 973 m\u00b2, will thus be planted with adapted plant varieties. Wild bees’ nests and bird houses will also be installed. Finally, the building ill be connected to the district heating network. This approach contributes to the creation of an environment that is urban, connected, and close to nature. This will further strengthen the infrastructure for the students, professors and companies in France and abroad.<\/p>\n
