Each year, I\u00c9SEG and its Center of excellence for Organizational Responsibility (ICOR<\/a>) reward the best I\u00c9SEG student thesis in the fields of organizational ethics, societal responsibility and sustainability.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the 7th edition of the Prize, a group of academic experts from I\u00c9SEG (composed of 3 professors from I\u00c9SEG: Guillaume Mercier, Caroline Rieu-Plichon and Yulia Titova) evaluated 26 theses in order to select the 3 best ones in terms of academic criteria.<\/p>\n

The winner of the ICOR Award was then chosen among these three finalists by a jury of professionals, made up this year of Val\u00e9rie Ader-Plaziat, Senior Advisor in charge of CSR policy at Colombus Consulting<\/a>, Augustin Boulot, Managing Director of B Lab France<\/a> and Charles Pick, CSR Director of Clinitex<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Presented by Caroline Roussel, Deputy Director of the School, on the occasion of I\u00c9SEG’s CSR Day, the ICOR 2022 Award was awarded this year to Julia Guillemot (2021 graduate of the Grande \u00c9cole Program) for her thesis: “The integration of ethical concerns in the development and deployment of artificially intelligent systems within technological companies. An essay on Artificial Intelligence Ethics<\/em>“<\/strong> (I\u00c9SEG thesis director: Guillaume Mercier).<\/p>\n

\u00a9I\u00c9SEG \/ L\u00e9opold Rigaut<\/p><\/div>\n

Each year, the winner of the ICOR Award receives \u20ac2,000 and commits to donate half of his or her prize money to a non-profit organization or social enterprise of his or her choice<\/strong>. This year, Julia Guillemot has chosen to support the Global Schools Program, an initiative of the United Nations. This initiative aims to equip primary and secondary school teachers around the world with content and tools that can be adapted in any country to teach sustainable development to pupils from kindergarten to high school.<\/p>\n

The 2 other finalists of the ICOR Awards were:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Marion Arpino<\/strong> for her thesis \u201cThe legal and managerial challenges brought by the progressive entry of the circular economy in the textile industry <\/em>\u201c (directeur de m\u00e9moire I\u00c9SEG : Maria Castillo)<\/p>\n

– Marco Silvano <\/strong>for his thesis : \u00ab The impact of modular design on end-of-life management in the mobile phone industry\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb (I\u00c9SEG thesis director: Maud Vandenbroeke)<\/p>\n

The ICOR Award ceremony was preceded by a conference organized by ICOR on the theme “New forms of enterprise at the service of society and the environment: idealism or sustainable models?<\/p>\n
