The School is pleased to announce the creation of a new research center dedicated to the field of quantitative finance (i\u211auant). Led by Yann BRAOUEZEC, Professor of Finance at I\u00c9SEG, the aim of i\u211auant is to carry out and disseminate cutting-edge research activities in quantitative finance, which refers to use of different mathematical and statistical methods and techniques to analyze financial instruments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A team of 8 international researchers are using such techniques to take forward their research activities in a wide range of areas including financial regulation, market liquidity, monetary policy, commodity markets or asset pricing.<\/p>\n

Professor BRAOUEZEC explains: \u201cThe center will support these research activities but also support the dissemination of findings to different stakeholders.<\/em>\u201d Within the framework of i\u211auant\u2019s activities, researchers will organize research seminars for an academic audience and conferences to contribute to the dissemination of their work to different stakeholders (including professionals and policymakers).<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u211auant is dedicated to organizing events on important topical issues in quantitative finance<\/em>\u201d, adds Professor BRAOUEZEC. On the 22nd March on the Paris- La D\u00e9fense campus. I\u211aUANT has therefore welcomed the Director of Research from the Banque de France in the framework of a conference on the macroeconomic impacts of climate change.<\/p>\n

Centers of Research and Excellence at I\u00c9SEG<\/strong><\/p>\n

Research and teaching have been part of I\u00c9SEG\u2019s DNA since its foundation and are fully in line with its 2025 Vision, \u201cEmpowering changemakers for a better society\u201d<\/a>, whose mission is not only to educate managers to be inspiring, intercultural and ethical pioneers of change (through high quality teaching) but also to create the knowledge that enables the rise of innovative leaders and to promote solutions for and with responsible organizations (through active and high-level research). The results of the research are also used to feed the professors\u2019 teaching with cutting-edge knowledge and thus allow for a rigorous, scientific and academic approach. This helps students prepare to become changemakers and to face future challenges in their professional lives.<\/p>\n

Research is one of the key pillars of our four Centers of Excellence (each contributing to research, learning and service to stakeholders) which are dedicated to organizational responsibility (ICOR<\/a>), marketing analytics (ICMA<\/a>), negotiation (ICON<\/a>), and intercultural engagement (ICIE<\/a>). The School has created several centers of research dedicated to topics such as Risk and uncertainty (IRisk<\/a>) and Family Labor and Migration Economics (IFlame<\/a>) and is also part of a public research center called LEM (Lille Economie & Management, UMR CNRS 9221<\/a>), which is supported by the French government, through its research agency CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique<\/a>).<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
