{"id":146482,"date":"2023-09-19T09:52:47","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T07:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=146482"},"modified":"2023-09-19T09:52:48","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T07:52:48","slug":"electric-car-sharing-scheme","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/electric-car-sharing-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Research in brief: Study sheds light on electric car sharing schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Electric car sharing schemes have been developed in many different cities and towns around the world as part of policy initiatives to reduce environmental pollution and congestion, notably in urban areas. <strong>Two of the key factors for developing effective car sharing schemes are understanding consumers\u2019 underlying motivations and different patterns of usage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A new study published in the Annals of Operations Research focuses on an electric vehicle sharing (EVS) scheme running in the city of Shenzen in China<\/strong> and aims to shed light on these two factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers from I\u00c9SEG School of Management and Beijing Institute of Technology collected and analyzed <strong>data from the in-vehicle sensors of 3,100 electric vehicles<\/strong> with approximately 1.03 million pieces of driving data used in this car sharing scheme. They also calculated carbon emissions per mile and compared these for different types of usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><a
