{"id":152707,"date":"2024-01-15T12:39:44","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:39:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=152707"},"modified":"2024-01-15T12:39:44","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:39:44","slug":"responsible-business-education-awards-2024","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/responsible-business-education-awards-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial Times Responsible Business Education Award: I\u00c9SEG wins the \u2018Best Schools\u2019 Award!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>I\u00c9SEG wins the Financial Times Responsible Business Education Award<\/strong>s on the category <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/d80984ae-318f-4799-9c83-ea57277d7823\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u2018Best business school demonstrating system-wide responsible business principles integrated throughout teaching, research, operations, and student outcomes\u2019<\/a>. <br><strong>The School is also selected in the highly commended institutions<\/strong> on the category \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/aade432c-5fe7-4d1f-bf98-c2914682f653\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Best responsible teaching resources: innovative materials with a financial sustainability focus<\/a>\u2019 for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/the-school\/sustainability-at-ieseg\/first-sustainability-key-pillar-developing-sustainability-knowledge-skills-passion\/transition-2026-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Transition 2026<\/a> initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These Responsible Business Education Awards recognize I\u00c9SEG\u2019s strong and systemic engagement on social and environmental impact topics at all levels of the organization and in all its activities, and the commitment of all the staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders in driving change in the organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Being the winner of the \u2018Best Business School\u2019 Award and in the highly commended institutions of the \u2018Best Responsible Teaching Resources\u2019 Award is great recognition of the effort done by every member of I\u00c9SEG to better integrate social and environmental impact into everything we do. Transforming I\u00c9SEG to ensure we prepare our students to be responsible changemakers and help drive sustainable change in organizations, while ensuring that we, as an organization, contributes positively to society, is a challenging but exciting process. We are moving in the right direction, but we still have a lot to do! These Financial Times Responsible Business Education Awards are a big motivation to continue working hard in the next months and years!<\/em>\u201d, comment Caroline ROUSSEL, Dean of I\u00c9SEG, and Maria CASTILLO, Social and Environmental Impact Director at I\u00c9SEG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Transition 2026 program, launched in 2022, is a key driver of transformation of I\u00c9SEG&#8217;s activities. This program focuses on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/ieseg-trains-staff-sustainable-development-and-diversity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">training 100% of its staff and academics<\/a> to better integrate environmental and social concerns into courses, programs, and all operational activities. The training launched in February 2023 is now entering a decisive phase where all academic departments and services, supported by the Social and Environmental Impact Direction, will create their roadmaps and establish their objectives and indicators. In addition, throughout the past year, a dedicated team has been working on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/redesign-curriculum-grande-ecole-program-focus-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">redesigning the content of the core sustainability courses to ensure they are fully up to date with the current context<\/a>. Also, all the students in the Master Cycle of the Grande \u00c9cole Program now take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sulitest.org\/fr\/outils\/task\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Task by Sulitest<\/a> evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Transition 2026 program also looks at the impact of I\u00c9SEG&#8217;s operations in its ecosystem. A Climate Action Plan sets ambitious objectives for the School, including reduction on emissions linked to students&#8217; international mobility. The implementation of the Climate Action Plan has resulted as of now in a 18% reduction of emissions compared to 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commitment towards social and environmental topics is also reflected in I\u00c9SEG&#8217;s research with 2 dedicated chairs (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/sustainability-of-business-in-society-chair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainability for Business and Society<\/a> in partnership with B-Lab and Colombus Consulting, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/new-research-chair-cfo-sustainable-transformation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CFO and Sustainable Transformation Chair<\/a> in partnership with the National Association of Finance and Management Control Director). In addition, 4 centers include social and environmental considerations into their research: <a href=\"https:\/\/icor.ieseg.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICOR<\/a> (business model transformation, social enterprises, activism, role of managers, refugees, etc); <a href=\"https:\/\/icie.ieseg.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICIE<\/a> (Diversity and Inclusion, and stigma); <a href=\"https:\/\/irisk.ieseg.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IRisk <\/a>(climate risk and decision-making under uncertainty) and <a href=\"https:\/\/iflame.ieseg.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IFlame<\/a> (migration and education).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, these Awards recognize the important engagement of students and alumni. Initiatives like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/focus-on-responsible-leaders-initiative-students-engagement-in-csr-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Responsible Leaders<\/a> program, the ICOR thesis award and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/sustainability-certificates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainability Certificate<\/a> promote student engagement.
