Alice SUTER<\/a>, Hajar EZZINE<\/a>, Ingrid GONZALEZ<\/a>, Tithsamnang LY<\/a> and Wei LUO<\/a>, all students of I\u00c9SEG’s Master in International Accounting, Audit and Control<\/a>, have won the prestigious \u00ab Ace the Case \u2013 2024 IMA Student Case Competition<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, organized by IMA Europe<\/a> <\/strong>(the Institute of Management Accountants).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This competition is open to all students from European universities and business schools. The 3 best teams, among which the I\u00c9SEG students, presented their project during the IMA 2024 Europe Annual Conference, in April in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Published in the 2023 edition of Strategic Finance<\/em>, the 2024 subject was : \u00ab Determining how to classify stock investments: the case of Unbekannt, Inc<\/a> \u00bb. The Finance students team had to decide whether to keep using the fair value method or switch to the equity method for its stock investment, and why<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Case Competition is sponsored annually by IMA Europe to provide an opportunity for students to interpret, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and communicate a solution to a management accounting problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
