On May 21, for the second year, I\u00c9SEG hosted the B Corp Party Hauts-de-France on its Lille campus. The event, on the theme of \u201cEngaging our companies for and with young people\u201d, attracted over 300 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective of such an event is to create links between all the region’s committed players<\/strong>, in order to develop mutual support and the sharing of best practices<\/strong> between B Corp-certified companies in the Hauts-de-France region, as well as to encourage new companies not yet certified to join the movement<\/strong>. This year, 16 new B Corp-certified companies were presented to participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening began with an inspiring talk by Salom\u00e9 SAQU\u00c9, a journalist, committed author and activist (author of the book \u201cBe young and shut up\u201d), followed by a round-table discussion on the theme: \u201cEngaging companies in societal and environmental transition with the younger generation\u201d. The event continued with a Fair dedicated to all B Corp companies, so that everyone could exchange best practices and develop their network. It ended with a vegan, local and 0-waste cocktail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u202fOrganizing this event on the theme of commitment by and with young people makes perfect sense here at I\u00c9SEG, where this issue, as well as the environmental and social transition issues, are part of our daily lives. This is both an opportunity for inspiration and sharing on these themes, and a chance to develop new forms of corporate partnership around commitment<\/em>\u202f\u00bb, explains Myriam DEGRAVE, Environmental and Social Impact manager at I\u00c9SEG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its partnership withc B Lab France<\/a>, I\u00c9SEG has contributed to adapting the \u201cB Leader\u201d training course into a curriculum adapted to young people, both in terms of content and pedagogy<\/strong>. The B Academy<\/a> enables all young people to be trained in the B Corp methodology, and thus to support all companies in their certification process. In two years, no less than 82 IESEG students have completed the course and become \u201cB Leaders\u201d<\/strong>. In addition, 10 B Corp-certified companies or those in the process of certification have joined the \u201cPeople, Planet, Profit\u201d interdisciplinary project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For L\u00e9a BOIDIN, a Master’s student in the Grande \u00c9cole Program, \u00ab\u202fthe B Corp Party 2024 was an eye-opening and inspiring event, perfectly embodying I\u00c9SEG’s vision of \u201cChangemakers for a better society\u201d. I had the opportunity to chat with other young people and companies, sharing their expectations and concerns, and thinking together about how best to contribute to the ecological and economic transition.<\/em>\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u202fOur aim is to offer our students careers with a positive impact and new models of virtuous success. After learning about global issues in their curricula, participating in this type of event enables them to discover the concrete solutions implemented by committed companies. By joining the regional B Corp movement, they develop their network, and can project themselves into career paths aligned with their personal values. This was one of our main objectives when we signed our partnership agreement with B Lab France, and that’s why we’re always delighted to welcome this very meaningful event to I\u00c9SEG<\/em> \u00bb, concludes Myriam DEGRAVE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
