{"id":167008,"date":"2024-11-07T10:27:25","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T09:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=167008"},"modified":"2024-11-07T16:09:38","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T15:09:38","slug":"giving-tuesday-equal-opportunities-higher-education","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/giving-tuesday-equal-opportunities-higher-education\/","title":{"rendered":"On Giving Tuesday, join the I\u00c9SEG Foundation&#8217;s commitment to equal opportunities in higher education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/givingtuesday.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Giving Tuesday<\/a>, the World Day of Generosity and Solidarity, <strong>I\u00c9SEG and its Foundation invite all its stakeholders to make a commitment to equal opportunity<\/strong> in higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a fundamental issue for the School, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/ieseg-is-committed-to-equal-opportunities-in-partnership-with-article-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed a partnership with Article 1<\/a> in 2021 to help young people from working-class backgrounds gain access to higher education and support them in their success, from high school right through to employment. In March 2024, I\u00c9SEG also signed a long-term partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/telemaque-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">T\u00e9l\u00e9maque<\/a>, offering a 75% reduction in tuition fees to 4 young people from the association&#8217;s mentoring program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of Giving Tuesday 2024, the I\u00c9SEG Foundation aims to raise \u20ac50,000 from the I\u00c9SEG community in France and abroad, as well as from its corporate partners, to support young people&#8217;s access to higher education and help students financially. These grants will be redistributed in early 2025 to students in financial difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Matthieu, an I\u00c9SEG graduate and donor to the I\u00c9SEG Foundation&#8217;s \u201cEqual Opportunity\u201d scholarships, explains, \u201c <em>I&#8217;m very attached to the values of social openness and equal opportunity, and I deeply believe that education is one of the most powerful means of promoting them.<\/em> <em>As an alumnus of I\u00c9SEG, I was able to benefit from excellent training that has enabled me to build a rich and fulfilling career.<\/em> <em>It is essential for me that this opportunity be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of social background or financial means.<\/em> <em>Supporting the I\u00c9SEG Foundation is a way for me to contribute to a fairer future and to enable talented people from all backgrounds to benefit from the same opportunity.<\/em> \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\"><strong>&gt;<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ieseg.iraiser.eu\/fondationieseg_givingtuesday2024\/~mon-don\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">You too can support the I\u00c9SEG Foundation!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the past 2 years, I\u00c9SEG and its Foundation have rolled out a number of projects related to social inclusion and equal opportunities.\u202f<\/strong>On December 3, the I\u00c9SEG Foudation invites all its stakeholders to take part in an online round table entitled \u201c<strong>Social Inclusion &amp; Equal Opportunity<\/strong>\u201d.
