{"id":176987,"date":"2025-07-01T15:27:41","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T13:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=176987"},"modified":"2025-07-01T15:27:42","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T13:27:42","slug":"thomas-baudin-ieseg-newly-appointed-director-of-the-lem-lille-economie-management-for-5-years","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/thomas-baudin-ieseg-newly-appointed-director-of-the-lem-lille-economie-management-for-5-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomas BAUDIN (I\u00c9SEG) newly appointed Director of the LEM (Lille \u00c9conomie Management) for 5 years"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A joint research unit (n\u00b0 9221) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), I\u00c9SEG, the University of Lille, with the University of Artois and the University of the Littoral &#8211; C\u00f4te d&#8217;Opale as partner institutions, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lem.univ-lille.fr\/\">LEM (Lille Economie Management)<\/a> is a research laboratory founded 10 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognized for the multidisciplinary nature of its research areas, <strong>the LEM has published no fewer than 1,325 research articles since its creation<\/strong> (more than half of which in category A and B journals)<strong>, positioning itself among the best research units in economics and management in France<\/strong>.<br>A generalist laboratory due to its size, the LEM&#8217;s expertise is recognized through its four main areas of research: Decision-Making Analysis, Economic and Financial Flows, Marketing, and Organizational Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor of Economics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/enseignement-et-recherche\/recherche\/\">I\u00c9SEG<\/a>, <strong>Thomas BAUDIN has been elected Director of LEM for a five-year term<\/strong> by representatives of the 200 permanent faculty members and 70 doctoral and post-doctoral students who are members of the laboratory, and confirmed by the CNRS authorities. <br>He succeeds Etienne FARVAQUE (Director) and David CRAINICH (Deputy Director), whose term was marked by major achievements, such as the establishment of an ambitious doctoral program and the reconfiguration of the laboratory&#8217;s scientific policy management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specializing in household and population economics and economic history, Thomas BAUDIN holds a PhD in Economics (obtained in 2008) and a Habilitation \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches (HDR) awarded by the University of Lille in 2016. He has contributed to the emergence of economic analysis of infertility and leads several research projects on family migration over time and space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thomas BAUDIN will be joined in the management of the research laboratory by Nadiya UKRAYINCHUK (University of Lille) and Quentin DAVID (University of Lille), who have been appointed Deputy Directors. <\/strong>The objectives of this new management team during its five-year term are to enhance the laboratory&#8217;s attractivity, confirm the excellence of its professors&#8217; research, position itself as a key partner for public and private decision-makers, and establish itself as a more sustainable research laboratory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A joint research unit (n\u00b0 9221) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), I\u00c9SEG, the University of Lille, with the University of Artois and the University of the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":50,"featured_media":176984,"menu_order":0,"template":"","news-category":[103,298],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.2 -
