Convinced that academic success goes hand in hand with acknowledging each individual\u2019s uniqueness, I\u00c9SEG has enhanced its student support programs with four new specific statuses. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/student-entrepreneurs-athletes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Following the success of the \u201cEntrepreneur\u201d and \u201cHigh-Level Athlete\u201d statuses launched in 2023<\/a>, <strong>this academic year sees the introduction of the \u201cArtist,\u201d \u201cReservist,\u201d \u201cCaregiver,\u201d and \u201cYoung Parent\u201d statuses. <\/strong>These concrete initiatives reflect I\u00c9SEG\u2019s commitment to developing the \u201cart of becoming\u201d and fostering personal growth, helping students evolve into responsible citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">\u201cArtist\u201d Status: supporting creative commitment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognizing the importance of artistic expression in personal development, I\u00c9SEG offers the \u201cStudent Artist\u201d status to those who pursue an intensive, recognized, or professional artistic activity. This status takes into account personal artistic production and its associated commitments, which cannot always align with a standard academic schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">\u201cReservist\u201d Status: valuing civic engagement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u00c9SEG places citizenship at the heart of its educational mission. This status is open to students who voluntarily serve in the French Armed Forces, the National Police, or as Volunteer Firefighters, when these duties include shifts or training schedules incompatible with the academic calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">\u201cCaregiver\u201d Status: recognizing altruism and solidarity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u00c9SEG supports students who regularly assist a loved one with reduced autonomy, on a frequent and non-professional basis. Through the \u201cCaregiver\u201d status, these students can receive academic accommodations, allowing them to balance their studies with personal responsibilities and preserve their physical and mental well-being during challenging times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">\u201cYoung Parent\u201d Status: flexibility and support for student parents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u00c9SEG also supports students who become parents during their studies. Aware of the challenges of balancing family responsibilities with academic demands, the School allows them to apply for a \u201cSpecial Study Program,\u201d offering various accommodations: the possibility of taking a \u201cblank\u201d year or semester, additional justified absences, and close follow-up with an academic advisor to ensure tailored academic and personal support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open to students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/programs\/specialized-masters\/grande-ecole-programme-5-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grande \u00c9cole Program<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/programs\/bachelor-international-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bachelor in International Business<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/programs\/specialized-masters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Specialized Master\u2019s programs<\/a>, the \u201cArtist,\u201d \u201cReservist,\u201d and \u201cCaregiver\u201d statuses follow the same criteria as the \u201cEntrepreneur\u201d and \u201cHigh-Level Athlete\u201d statuses. They are awarded for one academic year and reassessed annually to ensure students continue to meet the admission criteria. They entitle students to 12 half-days of absence per semester, along with regular personalized support throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>We were committed to expanding our specific status system for our growing number of Young Parents, Reservists, Artists, and Caregivers, in order to provide them with the recognition they deserve and, above all, the flexibility they need to succeed in both their personal and academic journeys.<\/p><p>This initiative perfectly illustrates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/ieseg-becoming-educational-approach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cBecoming,\u201d our educational approach <\/a>focused on human transformation throughout life, aiming to shape responsible, open-minded professionals who are engaged in society.
