Designed to drive real-world action, the fund was made possible by a generous donation from the FRANCOURT family, in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondation.ieseg.fr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I\u00c9SEG Foundation<\/a>. It supports projects closely aligned with both the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and I\u00c9SEG\u2019s own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/the-school\/sustainability-at-ieseg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sustainability and social impact strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Each year, grants ranging from \u20ac300 to \u20ac3,000 are awarded<\/strong> to creative, innovative, and high-impact initiatives. Through this financial backing, the Sustainable Impact Fund raises awareness of social and environmental issues within the school and its wider region, while empowering the I\u00c9SEG community to bring tangible, hands-on experiences to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">A selective process to support innovative impactful projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for the Sustainable Impact Fund are reviewed by a panel that includes a representative from the Social and Environmental Impact Department at I\u00c9SEG, the CSR head of a student association, an alumnus from the \u201cI\u00c9SEG For Change\u201d club, and a professor or partner company representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Projects are evaluated on several criteria: <strong>potential impact, team motivation, feasibility, innovation, and structural soundness<\/strong>. After an initial screening, shortlisted candidates pitch their projects to the panel, followed by a Q&amp;A session to discuss their vision and ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-ieseg-orange-color has-text-color\">Mentorship to turn ideas into reality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond funding, the Sustainable Impact Fund connects selected project leaders with dedicated coaches\u2014recognized experts in the sustainability and impact space\u2014to help them structure their ideas and maximize their real-world outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this inaugural edition, the panel selected three projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/startup-lets-talk-about-sex-chloe-besson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00ab\u202fLet\u2019s&nbsp;Talk about&nbsp;Sex&nbsp;(LTAS)\u202f\u00bb<\/a><\/strong>, founded by Chlo\u00e9 BESSON, a master\u2019s student in the Grande \u00c9cole Program, this startup aims to <strong>reshape how we approach sexual health education and relationships<\/strong>. Her project combines a chatbot designed to answer young people\u2019s questions with workshops hosted at universities and schools. Chlo\u00e9 is being mentored by Elise THIBAULT-GONDRE, founder of the corporate volunteering platform Day One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>&#8220;Part of the Sustainable Impact Fund allowed us to attend ChangeNOW, where we had the opportunity to pitch to numerous partners, CSR experts, and investors. This gave LTAS a massive boost in visibility and credibility,&#8221; Chlo\u00e9 BESSON explained. &#8220;The rest of the funding is currently being used to develop Version 2 of our chatbot, which will run through June. This upgrade focuses on improving performance, enriching content, and strengthening data privacy\u2014which is absolutely vital for the topics we cover.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><cite>Chlo\u00e9 BESSON, founder of Let\u2019s&nbsp;Talk about&nbsp;Sex<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofia POTIER, a second-year student in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/programs\/grande-ecole-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grande \u00c9cole Program<\/a>, is developing <strong>&#8220;Public Affair,&#8221;<\/strong> <strong>a second-hand fashion project that pairs curated, unique pieces with editorial commentary on overconsumption<\/strong> and identity building through fashion. Sofia shared: <em>&#8220;This grant wasn&#8217;t just a financial boost; it was the vote of confidence I needed to turn a personal intuition into a structured media outlet and a high-standard archive, all while maintaining total editorial independence. Thanks to your support, Public Affair is moving from a &#8216;rough draft&#8217; folder into a concrete reality, ready to shake up the secondhand market.&#8221;<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofia is mentored by P\u00e9n\u00e9lope CHAPUIS, an I\u00c9SEG alumna and founder of the eco-friendly fashion brand &#8220;Binette.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, Soupact, led by Paula V. RAMIREZ and Ece DIN\u00c7KUL, both students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/programs\/specialized-masters\/master-management-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Master in Management for&nbsp;Sustainability<\/a>, <strong>tackles food waste by transforming unsold or &#8220;ugly&#8221; vegetables into healthy, seasonal soups <\/strong>offered at student-friendly prices. To boost its social impact, the project also plans to donate a portion of its production to people in need.
