As jobs continue to evolve at an unprecedented pace, the obsolescence of skills has never been greater. According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025<\/a><\/em>, 39% of today’s workforce skills are expected to be transformed or become obsolete by 2030<\/strong>. Knowledge can therefore no longer be considered permanent; instead, it must be continuously updated to keep pace with organizational, technological and societal changes.<\/p>\n\n\n

The ability to learn, adapt, and develop new skills has become a key driver of resilience, employability, and long-term career success<\/strong>. More than ever, professionals need to continuously refresh their expertise, stay ahead of emerging trends, and embrace lifelong learning throughout their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microcredentials to support evolving skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With this in mind, the 10th edition of the I\u00c9SEG Summer School (Universit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00c9t\u00e9<\/a>) was held under the theme “Skills Shift: Transforming for Lasting Impact.”<\/strong> Designed as both a forum for reflection on the future of skills and an opportunity for hands-on learning, the Summer School introduced I\u00c9SEG’s first microcredentials. Participants received a microcredential in the topic they had chosen, including influencer marketing, creative potential, polycrisis and sustainable performance, intrapreneurial leadership, complex negotiation, and AI for managers. These new credentials enabled participants to deepen their expertise in a specific area while gaining formal recognition for their learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introduction of these modules reflects I\u00c9SEG’s broader commitment to rethinking learning pathways and supporting lifelong skills development. Through its educational vision, “Becoming<\/a>” the School is committed to supporting not only its students, but also its alumni and professionals throughout every stage of their personal and professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this vision, I\u00c9SEG is expanding its portfolio of executive education programmes to better meet the needs of both organizations and individual professionals <\/strong>seeking to upskill or reskill at different stages of their careers. Whether they are currently employed, changing roles, or considering a career transition, learners will be able to choose from a range of flexible formats through the School’s new Open Program offer: 4- to 8-hour microlearning modules, 2- to 4-day microcredentials, and certificate programs lasting between 5 and 12 days. These modular learning pathways complement I\u00c9SEG’s degree programmes by providing short, flexible, and targeted learning experiences that directly address both individual development goals and the emerging challenges faced by organizations. These new programs reflect I\u00c9SEG’s commitment to supporting professionals and alumni throughout their lifelong learning journey and career development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
