The focus of the program is on shaping the participants\u2019 business knowledge, their methodological readiness and their technological skills.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/bigdata-home2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-36789\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/bigdata-home2-300x292.jpg\" alt=\"bigdata-home2\" width=\"300\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/bigdata-home2-300x292.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/bigdata-home2-150x146.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/bigdata-home2.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>To strengthen participants\u2019 programming skills, I\u00c9SEG has decided to introduce them to the statistical software package and programming language R (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.r-project.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.r-project.org<\/a>), together with other statistical software packages and languages like SAS, SQL and Visual Basic for Applications. Therefore, it is partnering up with Datacamp.com (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.DataCamp.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.DataCamp.com<\/a>), the largest online interactive learning platform for data science (focused on R) and having headquarters in Cambridge (USA) and Leuven (Belgium).<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jonathan Cornelissen, CEO of Datacamp.com, describes what makes the learning platform so unique: \u201cWe\u2019re focused on learning by doing.\u00a0 This means every participant gets their own R session on the platform and can play around with R in the comfort of their browser without the need to install anything. Participants then have to solve challenges with R, and we provide instant personalized feedback on what participants are doing: helping them to find the right solution in case they make a mistake and congratulating them when they find a correct solution to the problem at hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver 220,000 participants (and counting!) already enjoyed this learning by doing approach and we continue to work with great academic and industry partners to build the best learning experience for data science.
