\"logo-icor\"I\u00c9SEG and its Center for Organizational Responsibility (ICOR<\/a>), with the support of the Foundation of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, have recently awarded the ‘ICOR Prize’ for the best I\u00c9SEG Master\u2019s thesis in the fields of organizational ethics, social responsibility and sustainability\u00a0.<\/p>\n

This initiative is in line with the School\u2019s values and mission to prepare its students to become complete and international managers who initiate change, and who contribute to the development of responsible, innovative and enlightened organizations.<\/p>\n

For the first edition of the award, 10 master\u2019s theses were first evaluated by\u00a0 l\u00c9SEG professors, all members of ICOR, in order to select the best 3 (in terms of academic criteria). These were then judged by a panel of external experts: Nicolas Cordier (Leroy Merlin) Karima Essabbak (World Forum Lille) and Christophe Cheroutre (consultant).<\/p>\n

On Tuesday April 5, the first prize was awarded to, Romain BERROU who just recently graduated from I\u00c9SEG. Romain, 25,\u00a0carried out\u00a0his Master\u2019s thesis on the “Impact Investing”, investments which aim to generate environmental and social impact.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the support of the Foundation of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, a prize of \u20ac 2 000 was awarded to the winner: \u20ac1 000\u00a0 for Romain Berrou and the remaining \u20ac 1,000 for a non-profit organization or social enterprise of his choice. He plans to give the money to an association working for social reintegration, preservation and enhancement of maritime heritage (The Silo\u00e9 Association).<\/p>\n

The two other two finalists were Ratnagorn Sampradist for her thesis on “Ethical Leadership” and Marine Vinsonneau for her thesis on “The Impacts of Microfinance programs on Women’s Empowerment”.<\/p>\n

The ICOR award presentation took place during a conference entitled “Towards responsible business: Investing and taking action to create social value”, which included interventions from Jean Pierre Haemmerlein (Decathlon Foundation) David Brusselle (CCI Nord de France) and Nicolas Cordier (Leroy Merlin).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
