The next edition of the Eurovision, the long-running annual international TV song competition, will take place in Ukraine on May 13th 2017. Representing France, in this year\u2019s contest is 28 year-old I\u00c9SEG graduate Alexandra Maquet, or \u201cAlma\u201d, with her song \u201cRequiem\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nPianist and singer-songwriter, Alma studied at I\u00c9SEG until 2011, before launching her musical career. Her first solo album is also due to be released shortly before Eurovision.<\/p>\nAlma notes: “I have spent five amazing years at I\u00c9SEG, and it has taught me a lot ! As much for business related things as opening myself to other cultures. I got the chance to travel to Brazil and Italy during these years and I really think traveling and learning languages is someone’s biggest strength to succeed in today’s world.<\/p>\n\u201cI am very proud to represent France at the Eurovision song contest\u2026 I decided to follow my passion and hanging on to my dream by working hard and being patient. It brought me where I am today, and I am super excited!
