Representing France, in this year\u2019s contest is 28 year-old I\u00c9SEG graduate Alexandra Maquet, or \u201cAlma\u201d, with her song \u201cRequiem\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JtgM7laoukA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Pianist and singer-songwriter, Alma studied at I\u00c9SEG until 2011, before launching her musical career. Her first solo album is also due to be released shortly before Eurovision.<\/p>\n<p>Alma notes: &#8220;I have spent five amazing years at I\u00c9SEG, and it has taught me a lot ! As much for business related things as opening myself to other cultures. I got the chance to travel to Brazil and Italy during these years and I really think traveling and learning languages is someone&#8217;s biggest strength to succeed in today&#8217;s world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very proud to represent France at the Eurovision song contest\u2026 I decided to follow my passion and hanging on to my dream by working hard and being patient. It brought me where I am today, and I am super excited!
