It is in line with the School\u2019s 2025 Vision to \u201cempower changemakers for a better society\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The master\u2019s theses were first evaluated by\u00a0l\u00c9SEG professors, all members of ICOR, in order to select the best 3 (in terms of academic criteria). These were then judged by a panel of external experts: Jos\u00e9phine BIERNACKI, (Groupe Damartex), C\u00e9cile DELIVRE (Fondation IDKIDS), Ma\u00ebl LAGADEC (Sustainalytics).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_57040\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57040\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-57040\" style=\"margin-top: 25px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Photo_JadeTissier.png\" alt=\"Jade Tissier\" width=\"150\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Photo_JadeTissier.png 207w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Photo_JadeTissier-130x150.png 130w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-57040\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jade Tissier<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On Wednesday 19<sup>th<\/sup> April, the first prize was awarded to student <strong>Jade TISSIER<\/strong> for her work entitled: &#8220;Sustainability and access to capital: An investigation of the crowdfunding of sustainable firms&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the support of the Foundation of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, a prize of \u20ac 2 000 was awarded: \u20ac1 000\u00a0for Jade and the remaining \u20ac 1,000 for a non-profit organization or social enterprise of her choice. She plans to give the money to <em>Perus Shoes<\/em>, a brand of shoes which are handmade by artisans in Peru (For each pair of shoes sold one day of school for disadvantaged children in Cuzco, Peru is financed).<\/p>\n<p>The two other finalists were Charlotte AVRIL for her thesis\u00a0on the effects of work-life balance policies on employees\u2019 well-being in France and Nicolas PAGNON, who carried out his thesis on the characteristics and factors associated with income inequality in European countries.<\/p>\n<p>The ICOR award presentation took place during a conference\/debate on the topic of \u201cBasic Income: towards a fair and free society?\u201d This included interventions from <strong>Philippe VAN PARIJS<\/strong> (Universit\u00e9 de Louvain), and co-founder of the Basic Income Earth Network and <strong>Jean-Eric HYAFIL<\/strong> (Sorbonne University), co-founder of the French movement \u00ab\u00a0Mouvement Fran\u00e7ais pour un Revenu de Base (MFRB)\u00a0\u00bb.
