The objective of this project, inspired by the input and work of the School\u2019s community (colleagues and students), is to create a campus of international standing, offering students a unique intercultural learning experience.<\/p>\n<p>This project is in the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/about-ieseg\/mission-and-values\/\">School\u2019s 2016-2021 strategy<\/a> and its 2025 vision to be <em>\u201ca unique international hub empowering changemakers for a better society.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the next years (2018-2022), the I\u00c9SEG Village (around <em>rue de la Digue\/rue Architecte Cordonnier<\/em>) will be developed in several phases (see below). Certain existing buildings will be renovated and expanded, and a new building will be constructed at the extreme southern part of the campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the opening of the new building in 2017 on the Paris-La D\u00e9fense campus, we are delighted to reveal this project for our historic campus in Lille. The objective is to create a campus of international standing for 2022, a true village in the heart of Lille and the Vauban neighborhood, which will allow the School to provide its students with a unique and intercultural learning experience,\u201d Jean-Philippe AMMEUX, the Dean of I\u00c9SEG, explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLille is a dynamic city for French and international students. Also, the fact that our campus is situated next to the <em>Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille<\/em> (of which I\u00c9SEG is a member), bringing together 30,000 students, is very attractive for students and colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With a new architectural impact and green spaces, this project was inspired by a collective work within the School, in the framework of the Vision process. A work group (staff and students) has worked on the I\u00c9SEG Village program in close collaboration with the executive management. Over 1,000 members of the I\u00c9SEG community (students and staff) filled out a questionnaire or participated in interviews to collect different points of view, opinions, and expectations regarding this ambitious project.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_72807\" style=\"width: 413px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72807\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"img-responsive wp-image-72807\" title=\"jardin\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IESEG-jardin-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"ieseg-jardin\" width=\"403\" height=\"302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IESEG-jardin-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IESEG-jardin-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IESEG-jardin-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IESEG-jardin-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 403px) 100vw, 403px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-72807\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Trace Architectes\/I\u00c9SEG<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Overall, more than 4,000 m\u00b2 extra will be created in the framework of the I\u00c9SEG Village, a project that will be realised with <em>Trace Architectes<\/em> and <em>TPF Ing\u00e9nierie<\/em>. Representing an investment of 21 million euros, this project will provide the School with the opportunity to pursue its development. It will also accompany the implementation of its pedagogical strategy, launched in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of this strategy is to create a unique experience which is centered on intercultural learning and student engagement. Classrooms and common spaces will be designed to encourage the exchanges and the implication of each student through individual and group activities.<br \/>\nAlso, the student associations, which are at the heart of the I\u00c9SEG student experience, will occupy a new building at the South of the Village.<\/p>\n<h4>I\u00c9SEG Village in a few points:<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 A project with a strong architectural impact<br \/>\n\u2022 A place at the heart of the I\u00c9SEG Village with a cafeteria and spaces that encourage interaction and exchanges, and multifunctional spaces around the patios<br \/>\n\u2022 New green spaces (throughout the village)<br \/>\n\u2022 4,100 m\u00b2 more and 4,600 m&amp; renovated<br \/>\n\u2022 A sustainable campus: triple glazing; reinforced insulation; green roof; rainwater harvesting etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I\u00c9SEG revealed a vast renovation and extension project, the I\u00c9SEG Village, for its historic Lille campus.
