{"id":84796,"date":"2019-09-26T10:15:04","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T08:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=84796\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T12:19:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T10:19:35","slug":"ieseg-further-strengthens-its-academic-faculty","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/news\/ieseg-further-strengthens-its-academic-faculty\/","title":{"rendered":"I\u00c9SEG further strengthens its academic faculty with new appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the beginning of this new academic year, I\u00c9SEG is pleased to welcome 10 new permanent professors to its academic faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Experts in a wide range of management and business related fields, the professors possess PhDs\/Doctorates from some of the most prestigious institutions in France and abroad (see below).<\/p>\n<p>In the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieseg.fr\/en\/about-ieseg\/ieseg-teaching-and-learning-strategy\/\">School\u2019s strategy<\/a> to provide students with a unique, intercultural pedagogical experience and to be internationally recognized for its quality research, permanent professors have a dual mission combining teaching and research. They will join the other members of the School\u2019s international faculty at the Lille and Paris-La D\u00e9fense campuses.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 144 permanent full-time professors at the School this year, 82% of them are from outside of France (45 nationalities overall) and 100% have a PhD\/Doctorate.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 new professor-researchers (by track) are:<\/p>\n<h4>Accounting<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Sarah Maire, Professor in Accounting (PhD, Universit\u00e9 de Lorraine)<\/p>\n<h4>Finance<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Marc Joets, Professor in Finance (PhD, Universit\u00e9 de Paris Ouest Nanterre)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Astrid Salzmann, Professor in Finance (PhD, RWTH Aachen University)<\/p>\n<h4>Innovation &amp; Entrepreneurship<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Marco Clemente, Professor in CSR (PhD, HEC Paris)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Lin Dong, post-doctoral researcher in Organizations serving the Marginalized (PhD, Imperial College Business School)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Farah Kodeih, Professor in Strategy (PhD, ESSEC Business School)<\/p>\n<h4>Law<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Maximiliano Marzetti, Professor in Law (PhD, Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam)<\/p>\n<h4>Marketing<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Arno De Caigny, Professor in Marketing Analytics (PhD, Universit\u00e9 de Lille)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Steven Hoornaert, Professor in Marketing Analytics (PhD, Ghent University)<\/p>\n<h4>Operations Management<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Salim Rostami, Professor in Operations Management (PhD, KU Leuven)<\/p>\n<p>The School is also delighted to welcome a number of new lecturers, teaching and research assistants, as well as new part-time postdoctoral researchers to its academic staff at the beginning of this year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#c1c1c1;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#dbdbdb;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;\">In addition to their teaching activities, permanent faculty members are actively engaged in research in all the different domains of management and economics. These activities support both their teaching and the interaction with companies and other stakeholders.
