The quality of the reception of international students is a fundamental issue for the internationalization and attractiveness of higher education. France, one of the top 5 host countries for international students, is today implementing the “Welcome to France” strategy, via Campus France*, which aims to attract 500,000 foreign students by 2027. This strategy for attracting international students is based on a comprehensive system, including the creation of a “Welcome to France” certification label.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u00c9SEG is one of the 89 certified institutions among the 183 undertaking the \u20183 star\u2019 certification (as of the end of May 2020).
\nThe certification demonstrates the quality of the reception at I\u00c9SEG.<\/p>\n

The “Bienvenue en France” label distinguishes French higher education institutions, which have developed reception measures made available to international students by French higher education institutions, and represents a promotional and outreach tool for the institution.<\/p>\n

The objectives of the certification are to inform international students about the concrete conditions of reception within the institutions, to attest to the quality of reception and to promote the initiatives of French institutions in this area, and to encourage universities and schools in their warm reception of students. It also provides information on the actions implemented by higher education institutions to meet the needs of international students in the following areas: quality and accessibility of information, quality and accessibility of reception measures, accessibility and support for teaching, housing and quality of campus life, quality of post-graduate follow-up.<\/p>\n

Many thanks to all the I\u00c9SEG staff as well as to the members of the International Clubs (I\u00c9SEG student association) who swing into action each year to welcome international students in the best conditions on our campuses.<\/p>\n
