It is based on three main axes:\u202f<\/strong>
><\/span><\/strong> Work on improving the efficient use of resources such as energy and water in buildings by implementing innovative energy efficiency measures and optimizing building performance.\u202f 
><\/span><\/strong><\/span> Generate more awareness on the impact of its activities, including mobility, and offer solutions and alternatives to reduce or compensate the impact of its operations.\u202f 
><\/span><\/strong><\/span> Promote waste management solutions aiming to reduce waste on campus and to promote circular economy principles.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voluntary commitments of the school<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u00c9SEG signed the Engagements Lille Bas Carbone (Lille low carbon commitments) on June 18th<\/sup>, 2021, to limit its environmental footprint on the territory and act against climate change.\u202f\u202fFurthermore, on January 24th<\/sup>, 2022, I\u00c9SEG became a signatory of the Accord de Grenoble (Grenoble Agreement). This agreement is based on thirteen propositions created by a student collective to urge higher education institutions to integrate the challenges of the socio-ecological transition in curriculums and on campuses.\u202f Finally, IESEG also commits to the Charte d’engagement post-carbone pour les acteurs de Paris La D\u00e9fense<\/strong><\/a> since July 21st, 2023. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Climate action plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u00c9SEG is developing a climate action plan<\/a><\/strong> consisting of its carbon footprint evaluation, its 2030 carbon trajectory and GHG emission reduction targets and action plans (on energy, water, waste, procurement, digital, buildings, biodiversity). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Awareness events<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u00c9SEG organizes an annual CSR Day on both campuses in order to promote sustainability through fun activities and stands such as DIY workshops on creating sustainable household products, insect tasting, quizzes on sustainability and the SDG\u2019s, activities related to disability awareness, among others. Other awareness events can be mentioned, such as the Solidarity Day<\/strong><\/a>, where staff can benefit from one paid day to volunteer for the association of their choice, or \u2018Giving Tuesday\u2019 where the I\u00c9SEG Foundation invites its entire community to donate to charity. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Impact Audit by ACT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

ACT, I\u00c9SEG\u2019s student association on environmental issues, worked together with the AEIP and AEIL (lead student associations on each campus) to work with all I\u00c9SEG\u2019s student associations and audit their environmental impact. This intra-association collaboration also led to several guidelines and recommendations on keeping events more responsible and sustainable. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
