At I\u00c9SEG, professional experience is considered an essential part of the educational program. The internship policy is not simply a complement to academic teaching: it is a logical and mandatory part of it. No student can graduate without having completed all the required professional experience (13 months for the Grande \u00c9cole Program, 8 months for the Bachelor in International Business, and even 4 months for the Specialized Masters).
This requirement reflects a strong conviction: professionalization is built over time, through gradual exposure to the realities of the business world, in close coordination with academic learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u20ac500,000 equity investment is coupled with a partnership to deploy the \u201cComplement\u201d proprietary technology solution across I\u00c9SEG\u2019s undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs.

Since 2023, I\u00c9SEG has been committed to a systemic approach to artificial intelligence, confident that AI is profoundly redefining the landscape of higher education and business. This AI strategy is not simply a matter of adopting technology, but rather rethinking of all aspects of the school\u2019s educational, organizational, and institutional structures. The school laid the foundations for a comprehensive approach to anticipating these transformations at a very early stage, mobilizing all of its stakeholders.
Today, AI developments in the field and the acceleration of its uses require the implementation of a Test & Learn approach. This collective dynamic was recently highlighted at the Foundation\u2019s 2026 New Year\u2019s Reception, a flagship gathering for the I\u00c9SEG community, which brought together more than 100 guests on the Paris\u2013La D\u00e9fense campus.
Anne-Laure THOMAS is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director at L\u2019Or\u00e9al, and Vincent DUBOIS stands as President of DLPK and an I\u00c9SEG alumnus (1997). While their professional paths differ, they share a common belief: talent should have access to an education of excellence, regardless of social or economic background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February 2026 – I\u00c9SEG and WorldCC shape contract management education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u00c9SEG values innovation and creativity. Its mission is to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive as responsible changemakers for a better society in a fast-changing world. To achieve this, the School stays in close contact with companies to understand their current and emerging needs. With that goal in mind, I\u00c9SEG developed the first Contract Management course offered at a French Grande \u00c9cole, as a core course in the General Management and Strategic Consulting Major.
I\u00c9SEG has also entered into a strategic partnership with World Commerce & Contracting (WorldCC), the international association in contract and commercial management. Each semester, the top students are given the opportunity to prepare for and earn the Fundamentals of \u201cCommercial & Contract Management\u201d (CCM) certification, which is internationally recognized and highly valued by employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 2026 – I\u00c9SEG and GARP\u00ae sign a partnership to address climate issues and risk management<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, I\u00c9SEG signed a groundbreaking partnership with GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals), a globally recognized leader in risk management, especially in finance, banking, insurance, and consulting. Students in the apprenticeship program \u201cFinancial Institutions: Risk Management & Compliance\u201d were thus given the opportunity to obtain prestigious professional certifications, including the Financial Risk Manager (FRM\u00ae). GARP also advised the School to align its risk management teaching with the needs and best practices of the global industry.
In January 2026, I\u00c9SEG decided to strengthen its relationship with GARP\u00ae by signing a new partnership allowing to integrate the \u201cSustainability and Climate Risk\u201d (SCR\u00ae) certification into its academic offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

December 2025 – The Master in International Accounting, Audit & Control earns the ACCA Accreditation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The I\u00c9SEG Master in International Accounting, Audit & Control has recently received a new accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which is one of the world\u2019s most renowned professional bodies in the field of accounting.
Thanks to this accreditation, graduates of the programs are eligible for exemptions from several ACCA examinations, enabling them to progress more quickly toward full professional qualification. This acknowledgment also highlights I\u00c9SEG\u2019s commitment to providing a curriculum that combines academic rigor, technical expertise, and the ethical standards expected by the global accounting profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 2025 – Thomas BAUDIN (I\u00c9SEG) appointed Director of the Lille \u00c9conomie Management research laboratory for 5 years<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A joint research unit (n\u00b0 9221) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), I\u00c9SEG, the University of Lille, with the University of Artois and the University of the Littoral \u2013 C\u00f4te d\u2019Opale as partner institutions, the LEM (Lille Economie Management) is a research laboratory founded 10 years ago.
Professor of Economics at I\u00c9SEG, Thomas BAUDIN has been elected Director of LEM for a five-year term. Specializing in household and population economics and economic history, Thomas BAUDIN holds a PhD in Economics (obtained in 2008) and a Habilitation \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches<\/em> (HDR) awarded by the University of Lille in 2016. He has contributed to the emergence of economic analysis of infertility and leads several research projects on family migration over time and space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 2025 – I\u00c9SEG concludes phase 1 of its \u201cTransition 2026\u201d initiative; 100% of CSR roadmaps reviewed by Management Board<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On March, I\u00c9SEG\u2019s Management Board dedicated 2 full days to the presentation of all the roadmaps, drafted by the 10 Academic and all Administrative Departments of the School. These presentations concluded Phase 1 of the \u201cTransition 2026\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These roadmaps are built around concrete actions, with three-year targets, key performance indicators, and clearly identified project leaders. Every year, the I\u00c9SEG Center of Excellence for Organizational Responsibility (ICOR) rewards the best student thesis in the fields of organizational ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and corporate sustainability, with the ICOR Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e9lodie LACHAUD is the winner of the ICOR 2025 Award. Her thesis entitled \u201cSustainable Decision-Making: Examining the Roles of Financial Insights, Personal Traits, and the Rebound Effect in Shaping French Energy Practices\u201d aims to improve the understanding of French consumers\u2019 habits in terms of energy consumption, by differentiating between energy efficiency and energy saving, two interconnect yet distinct concepts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 2025 – The I\u00c9SEG Foundation presents its 2025 Scholarships to students and unveils its Annual Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A total of 40 students benefited from the first Cofidis Scholarships, making Cofidis the Foundation\u2019s first major patron. The I\u00c9SEG Foundation also awarded its \u201cEqual Opportunity\u201d, \u201cExcellence\u201d and \u201cEntrepreneurship\u201d scholarships to 73 students. In total, no fewer than 113 students will receive support in 2025, with a total redistributed amount of nearly \u20ac215,000.
This event was also an opportunity to present the Foundation\u2019s Annual Report, distributed to all attendees, as well as the newly redesigned I\u00c9SEG Foundation website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oph\u00e9lie VANBREMEERSCH graduated with I\u00c9SEG\u2019s Master in International Business in 2023, and a few years after creating her \u201cLunettes de Zac\u201c, she was already on the \u201c2024 Forbes 30 Under 30\u201d list. This year, she wins the prestigious Financial Times Student Award as part of the \u201c2025 Responsible Business Education Awards\u201c.
Last year, I\u00c9SEG won the \u2018Best business school demonstrating system-wide responsible business principles integrated throughout teaching, research, operations, and student outcomes\u2019 Award, and was selected in the highly commended institutions for the category \u2018Best responsible teaching resources: innovative materials with a financial sustainability focus\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Case Centre Impact Index is a new annual ranking launched as part of The Case Centre\u2019s 50th anniversary celebration. Founded in 1973 by 22 higher education institutions, who wanted a reliable facility for sharing case materials among business professors, The Case Centre is now firmly rooted in the heart of the case community as the independent home of the case method.
\nSince 2022, The Case Centre has received 69 new cases for distribution from I\u00c9SEG authors. Over the period, 66 cases from I\u00c9SEG were sold to 56 organizations in 23 countries and were taught to 3,186 non-I\u00c9SEG students. The paper, \u201cOrganizational sponsorship and the economics of place: How regional urbanization and localization shape incubator outcomes\u201d by Alejandro Amezcua (Syracuse University), Tiago Ratinho (I\u00c9SEG School of Management), Larry Plummer (Western University), and Parvathi Jayamohan (Salem State University) was recently published (online) in the Journal of Business Venturing. This study makes use of the National Census of Business Incubators \u2013 a comprehensive database of the population of US based business incubators, their correspondent incubated companies, and a group of comparable non-incubated startups. A new study carried out by researchers in France, the USA and China, looks at, and compares, negotiation strategies and outcomes in three different cultures\/countries: honor (Qatar), face (China), and dignity (the USA). Published in the latest edition of the Journal of Organizational Behavior (November 2016), it sheds new light on how businesses can enhance value when negotiating with people from one of these three cultures.<\/p>\n

November 2016 \u2013 Slow speedy shoppers with bespoke flooring<\/p>\n

New research by academics in France, Belgium and the Netherlands explores how retailers could have the power to modulate our walking speed in shops. It demonstrates, for example, that changing the distances between lines on the floor can tap into subconscious desires to reach the end of shopping aisles: the closer the end appears, the faster we walk towards the goal.<\/p>\n

July 2016 \u2013 Employers prefer to promote men\u2026 but not always<\/p>\n

New research shows that when women try to take a first step up the corporate ladder, they can have trouble pulling their feet up from \u201csticky floors\u201d. Women job applicants are significantly less likely than men to be called in for an interview for jobs implying a promotion at the functional level (in terms of tasks of tasks and duties); however, women and men seem to be on equal footing when it comes to jobs offering an increase in authority (for example in terms of management\/supervision responsibilities).<\/p>\n

I\u00c9SEG School of Management in France is launching in April its first MOOC (massive open online course) in collaboration with UNOW, a French start-up specializing in MOOCS. The online course which focuses on the topic of Infrastructure finance is taught entirely in English and is based on \u201cgamification\u201d (the use of game elements and design to stimulate learning).<\/p>\n

The School\u2019s MSc in Finance program has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program \u2018Candidate Body of Knowledge\u2019 (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.
