Teaching<\/h2>\n

Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The objectives of the I&E track are to help students develop entrepreneurial competences, innovation skills and an understanding of how to embed sustainability in an organization\u2019s strategy to meet triple bottom line objectives (profit, planet, people). The combination of these skills will ensure students are prepared to start their own company, join a start-up, become a consultant, project manager or innovation manager for a large organization.\u00a0\u00a0The teaching focus prepares\u00a0students to analyze the complexity of corporate strategies\u00a0so as\u00a0to\u00a0be able to act as entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs.<\/p>\n

Management of Information Systems (MIS)<\/h3>\n

The MIS track prepares students to participate in developing digital strategies that achieve organizational objectives. Students develop a deep understanding of information systems and emerging technologies\u00a0and\u00a0develop skills to serve as consultants, systems\/business analysts, functional analysts, project managers, product managers, or entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Law<\/h3>\n

This track\u00a0provides to students the ability to identify risks\u00a0and\u00a0manage the legal consequences when it is not possible to\u00a0prevent\u00a0them.\u00a0Classes offered are\u00a0Civil law, Business law and Advanced Business Law\u00a0(covering international contracts and compliance-related aspects).\u00a0All the topics are afforded in an international and comparative perspective.<\/p>\n

Our approach focuses on the importance of student interaction during courses, as the ability to discuss and defend ideas is central to the management profession. In addition, we are a very diverse team of professors coming from various countries and various previous professional experiences.<\/p>\n

We believe this diversity of experiences enriches our students.<\/strong> Professors strive to bring their research insights into the classroom.<\/p>\n

Research<\/h2>\n

Our department strongly encourages an interdisciplinary approach to research, linked to the variety of our scholarly disciplines. Special attention is given to CSR-related topics.<\/p>\n

Our permanent professors have recently published articles in the following international peer-reviewed journals: Academy of Management Journal, California Management Review, Organization Studies, European Journal of Operational Research, MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, European Management Review, Human Resource Management Review, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, M@n@gement, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Organizational Dynamics, British Journal of Management, and others.<\/p>\n
