I believe IÉSEG programs are more well-rounded and more challenging than many other programs globally. While courses on key management and business topics are covered at length in the program, students at IÉSEG also have unique classes focusing on topics such as creativity, drama/theatre and management through sport. These courses allow us to continually step out of our comfort zones to discover our artistic and intellectual potential.

The IÉSEG professors are very knowledgeable and passionate about their teaching. While class sizes are small enough to ensure interactivity between students and professors, the classroom dynamic is further enhanced by professors’ creative and solid teaching techniques. Students also have the opportunity to do exchange programs at top business schools globally, such as Cornell (Dyson), Copenhagen Business School, the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance at Shanghai Jiaotong University etc.

While my classes have been in English, my French has been improving dramatically since I first came here. My French classmates are actively helping me to adapt to French society, and very willing to speak English and to teach me French. Also, they are very interested in learning more about Asian culture.

If your dream is to become a well-rounded business leader, come to IÉSEG.

IÉSEG is the perfect option if you are interested in receiving a very complete management education and interacting in a multicultural environment.

During my time at the School, I have met lot of great people, including many international students, with whom I share similar interests. The staff have a lot of experience with international students and are bilingual so you can easily communicate with them. I find the program in itself to be very well-rounded and contemporary, the courses are interactive and the professors are experts in the fields they teach. At the end of every academic year, students undertake internships, which help put into practice the theory we’ve learned in our classes.

Before entering IÉSEG, I obtained a Scientific baccalauréat with Maths option. Then, I chose IÉSEG mainly for its international dimension. I wanted to be able to go on an exchange abroad and evolve in an English-speaking environment right from the first year. In addition, IÉSEG ranks among the best French business schools.

I chose the Grande École program because it is recognized in France and it provides a complete academic experience in order to enter the job market with a solid background. This five-year program seemed to be the best option for me to be able to qualify for positions with responsibilities upon graduation, thanks to the several opportunities it offers in terms of professional experience.

I really liked the possibility of having all of my courses in English as soon as I arrived at IÉSEG. This allowed me to develop my managerial skills while ensuring that I could work abroad. The various group projects are a good preparation for the business world as we collaborate with people who have very different backgrounds. My favorite course was the Career Program in the Master’s program, which gave me a better idea of what I wanted to do later on and a better understanding of the leadership role I aspired to.

At the School, I was part of the International Club. It was a very enriching experience that enabled me to apply what we learned in class: from financial management to team management, including cultural diversity management, my time at the International Club definitely helped me grow.

One experience that made a deep impression on me was the first “departure assembly” – a gathering of all the students who are preparing to go abroad. You could feel that all the students who were ready to travel were a bit stressed out, but it was a very pleasant and friendly day after all.

Today, I am an international civil servant at the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Learning and Skills Development department within the health emergency program. I would like to continue to work in the United Nations system, at the WHO for the time being, but perhaps in other UN agencies in the future. I hope to become a diplomat in the United Nations in a few years.

For future students who are looking for a program that combines an international environment, a steady professional development and academic excellence, the Grande École program is a great option. This program encourages students to discover the professional career path that suits them, in particular thanks to the open-mindedness that they develop through various internships. This professional approach that combines theoretical knowledge and practical know-how enables us to distinguish ourselves from other business schools’ students.

Before coming to IÉSEG, I completed my first year of Master’s degree in Finance in Morocco. Then, I joined IÉSEG as part of a double degree: the Master cycle of the Grande École Program and the Master of Science in Finance. I chose to get into Finance because I am passionate about it, and I chose IÉSEG for several reasons, including the quality of the education, the international dimension that is part of the School’s DNA, and also the importance given to innovation and research.

At the beginning of my first year at IÉSEG, I encountered some difficulties because I was not used to taking classes in English and, coming from Morocco, I did not know anyone yet. But as time went by, I began to feel at ease at the School, especially thanks to the help provided by the International Club for foreign students. I really appreciated the program: the quality of the courses and the teachers is undeniable.

The program is heavy but very instructive and it deserves the effort and dedication that is put into it. I particularly appreciated the group projects that were assigned to us and that allowed us to put all the theoretical knowledge into practice. I also really liked the “Financial Statement Analysis” course which allowed me to understand in depth the financial statements and the main financial ratios, and to work on the financial analysis of a real company case. It was not easy but it allowed me to learn a lot and to know how to look for information and interpret it. The Career Program was also a great experience – it was a coaching where I not only learned how to write my resume and cover letter, but also to discover myself through the different coaching exercises.

Currently, I am an internal controller at Veolia, following my end-of-study internship in the same company. In the years to come, I still see myself in an audit/finance position within a multinational company. I particularly appreciate this type of structure despite the complexity of the organization and processes. The number of important projects and the perspectives of evolution, notably with training and internal mobility, are major assets. In the next five years, I would like to move to another European country if the opportunity arises, in order to explore a new working environment.

I would say to all potential applicants to this program that it is a program of excellence, which requires a lot of effort, dedication and commitment. The program is quite hectic with a lot of group works, but they allow you to learn a lot of concepts and knowledge in finance and management. We have the opportunity to put all this knowledge into practice thanks to the different projects we develop.

I left IÉSEG in 2003 after five years rich in terms of both teaching and learning experiences. We had then created, through a communication project, an association responsible for the promotion of entrepreneurship among students. Group work for accounting or marketing projects, including that of Jacques Angot, are also moments that particularly struck me: learning project management, development of creative ideas and pressure resistance . These are all essential qualities in business today.

When I left IÉSEG, I decided to take a crazy gamble to create and develop a network of distribution and import of ethical products under the SOS Group. So I headed Altermundi and its subsidiaries and integrated companies for 8 years and then I had wanted to get ” backup” level by pursuing an MBA in Australia and the United States (Los Angeles).

This two-year experience was extremely rewarding and has allowed me to develop tools and working methods that are more Anglo -Saxon. I then joined in early 2013 Disneyland Paris to lead the Business Development unit under the leadership of Vice President of Marketing & Sales – France.
