abstract
This paper focuses on the impact of knowledge democratization through GenAI and Open Science on human resource management for the greater good, looking through three lenses or core areas represented by the employment relationship, the human resource function and human resource management scholarship. The overall goal of the overview is to present an innovative framework including both practical and research recommendations. GenAI and Open Science are here to stay affecting human resource management in practice and the way HRM can be studied taking into accountthe greater good of the individual, the organization and society. GenAI and Open Science create opportunities and threats for those involved leaving the HRM scholars and the HR professionals with an important task to manage knowledge democratization, not to control it.
