Anna Canato appointed Director of Research at IÉSEG

Dr Anna Canato
Dr Anna Canato, Professor of Management, has been appointed as the new Director of Research at IÉSEG School of Management, taking over from Dr Ruben Chumpitaz as of the 1 January 2016. Dr Canato, who is Italian and studied at Bocconi University, holds the French “habilitation à diriger des recherches” (the authorization to direct research) from the University of Lille 1. She began her career as a consultant in change management at Accenture, working in Eastern Europe, before starting her academic career path at Bocconi where she received her doctorate in 2008.
After taking up a research position at Imperial College London Business School, she joined IÉSEG in 2009, coordinating the School’s MSc in International Business in Paris and the management track. In 2012, she became Director of the Management department, a position she held until 2015.
Dr Canato teaches and conducts research in connection with transformation in business, organizational culture and identity, and change management. Her research has been published in different international research journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the British Journal of Management and International Journal of Management Reviews.
