IÉSEG Bootcamp: a step into professional life
The Corporate Relations Department at IÉSEG, in collaboration with IÉSEG Network (the alumni association), organized a dedicated bootcamp for international students enrolled in its postgraduate programs. Held on the Lille and Paris-La Défense campuses at the end of May, the event symbolically marked students’ transition into the professional world, supporting them as they move from student life to their future careers.
Nearly 300 students took part in this highly anticipated milestone event. The program included a soft skills–based escape game, an improvisational theater session, and a keynote speech by IÉSEG’s Dean, Caroline Roussel, followed by a convivial cocktail reception with IÉSEG alumni.
The escape game: an immersive way to put soft skills into action
Students had 45 minutes to solve a series of puzzles in teams, drawing on both collective intelligence and skills they developed throughout their studies: information gathering, adaptability, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication. Acting as members of a government task force, their mission was to analyze clues provided by AI to track down hackers responsible for a cyberattack and identify the location of their headquarters.

“The goal was to give students the opportunity to test the soft skills they have developed during their time at IÉSEG—and, more importantly, to immerse them in a type of exercise increasingly used in recruitment processes. Beyond traditional interviews, recruiters like to observe candidates in action and in authentic situations, often through formats such as escape games,” explains Roseline ANDAN, International Programs Career Manager at IÉSEG and co-organizer of the 2025 Bootcamp.
Les gagnants de l’escape game ont été récompensés par une sélection de produits artisanaux français des marques « Payzan » et « Les Exploratrices », toutes deux créés par des diplômés de l’IÉSEG.
Winners of the escape game were rewarded with a selection of artisanal French products from Payzan and Les Exploratrices, two brands created by IÉSEG alumni.
IÉSEG Network: the next step for students
Through a series of lively sketches blending music, dance, drawing, and humor, students were introduced to the many services of IÉSEG Network, which they join upon graduation. These services include coaching, mentoring, international clubs, entrepreneurial support, and much more. Alumni also joined the performance to share their own career journeys, alongside the IÉSEG Network team. This original and dynamic format highlighted the breadth of opportunities available to graduates and encouraged students to remain actively engaged with the community.
A collective momentum for a successful career start
The bootcamp is a prime example of IÉSEG’s commitment to supporting its students every step of the way, including their entry into the job market. By helping them reflect on their skills, connect with the alumni network, and experience this first step toward professional life, the School reaffirms its mission: to educate responsible managers who are well-prepared and already one step into their future careers.
