Our world is in constant evolution, and so is the hyper-connected world of work. Employees want to be themselves while protecting themselves, managers must find the compromise between kindness and demand of high standards, and HR professionals must no longer simply assume the position of business partner.

In his book “Engage to transform – Managers and HR managers, co-producers of a new human function” (“Engager pour transformer – Managers et DRH, coproducteurs d’une nouvelle fonction humaine” – available in French only), Bernard COULATY, a former HR Director for large French groups with a global dimension (Danone, Pernod Ricard) and a professor of Leadership and Human Resources at IÉSEG, invites the reader to overcome these current paradoxes.

A recognized expert in HR engagement and transformation strategies, Bernard COULATY therefore offers solutions to rethink a human relations role better shared between managers and HR managers, transformative for organizations and people and creating commitment for all. The proposed model is intended to be innovative, for a transformative human function better shared between influential HR experts and leaders who create commitment. In his book, Bernard COULATY also carries out an in-depth review of the strategic elements of individual, managerial, organizational transformations and those of the HR function itself.

Throught the book “Engage to transform – Managers and HR managers, co-producers of a new human function”, published by Editions EMS, Bernard COULATY shares his knowledge of the field and his strong convictions, capitalizing on his rich experience as an HR manager but also as a professor of Leadership and Human Resources Management, subjects he has been teaching since 2020 at IÉSEG. He is also, today, Academic Director of the School’s Executive Program in Human Development and Transformation Management.
