Financing your future: scholarships and financial support for international students at IÉSEG
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree abroad is a major investment—one that opens doors to global career opportunities and personal growth. At IÉSEG, we recognize the challenges international students may face when it comes to funding their education.
That’s why IÉSEG, along with numerous public and private organizations, offers a wide range of scholarships and financial aid options designed to make world-class education in France more accessible. Whether you are an outstanding academic achiever, a talented young professional, or simply in need of support, there are tailored solutions to help you turn your ambitions into reality.
Scholarships awarded by IÉSEG
Depending on the program they apply to, international students at IÉSEG may be eligible for a wide range of scholarships in the form of tuition fee waivers of up to €5,000. These scholarships are awarded based on various criteria specific to each case, and decisions are made by the admissions committee at the time of application review. As such, no separate application is required.
For instance, all admitted applicants from one of IÉSEG’s partner universities around the world automatically receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees. In addition, merit-based scholarships of up to 30% are available and are awarded based on the overall strength of the applicant’s profile, including academic performance, GMAT/GRE/CAT scores, motivation, extracurricular involvement, and/or relevant professional experience.
Financial aid Provided by IÉSEG
Beyond scholarships awarded at the time of admission, IÉSEG provides additional financial support to help students manage the cost of their studies.
IÉSEG offers a 0% interest loan – known as the Loan of Honour – to students facing financial difficulties. This support is designed to ease the burden during their studies, with flexible monthly repayments starting only once students begin working or have a stable source of income. The aim is to allow students to focus on their academic journey without the immediate pressure of repayment.
In addition to the admission-based scholarships, IÉSEG also offers internal scholarships during the academic year in the form of additional tuition waivers. These are deducted directly from the tuition fees and are awarded based on students’ financial circumstances and academic standing. Several financial aid committees are held throughout the year to assess applications and allocate this support fairly and transparently, ensuring that deserving students receive the assistance they need.
External Scholarships and Financial Support for International Students
In addition to the funding provided by IÉSEG, numerous external scholarships and financial aid options are available to international students through public institutions, governments and trusted partners. Students are strongly encouraged to explore these opportunities early in their application journey.
Many governments, foundations, and educational institutions offer financial support for students pursuing graduate studies abroad. The Campus France scholarship catalog is a valuable resource, allowing students to filter opportunities based on nationality, field of study, and degree level. Platforms like IEFA.org and WeMakeScholars.com also provide centralized access to hundreds of international funding options.
IÉSEG is also involved in specific scholarship partnerships, such as the AVENIR Excellence Scholarships for students in Spain, or the Alexandre Yersin Excellence scholarship, a co-funded program with the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, aimed at supporting women in tech and management.
For students who may not be eligible for scholarships or require additional funding, several financial aid programs are available, such as country-specific loans. Danish students can apply for financial support under the Danish Statens Uddannelsesstøtte (Danish SU) scheme, thanks to IÉSEG’s official recognition by Danish authorities. Students from the U.S. can explore private loan options via Sallie Mae, while Italian students enrolled in a Master’s program may benefit from the “Per Merito” loan by Intesa Sanpaolo.
These various supports make studying at IÉSEG and in France more financially accessible, helping talented students from all backgrounds to pursue their international ambitions with confidence.
Additional Support Through Trusted Partners
To further support international students, IÉSEG has partnered with key organizations that offer tailored financial and housing solutions.
Prodigy Finance provides student loans to international learners from over 150 nationalities. These loans, starting at a minimum of $15,000 USD, are designed specifically for graduate-level students studying abroad and offer flexible repayment terms based on future earning potential rather than current income or guarantor requirements. This option can be especially helpful for students who may not qualify for traditional local loans.
FINS Student Loans, supported by the European Investment Fund, offer up to €25,000 with no need for income, job, or guarantor—ideal for EU citizens studying in Europe.
Studapart, IÉSEG’s latest housing partner, addresses one of the most important practical concerns for incoming students: finding quality, affordable accommodation near campus. Through a dedicated online platform, students gain access to a wide range of secure housing options in both Lille and Paris-La Défense, including studios, shared apartments, and private rooms, with flexible lease terms from 1 to 24 months.
Studapart ensures verified and secure listings; protection against fraud, last-minute cancellations and non-compliant housing; optional cancellation insurance and personalized support from advisors and informative webinars from May to July. This service simplifies the housing search and adds peace of mind for international students relocating to France.
