IÉSEG partners with teale to support students’ mental health

With youth mental health becoming an increasingly urgent priority, IÉSEG has announced a partnership with teale–a leading mental health prevention platform, to provide daily support to its 8,500 students.

Since the start of the 2024 academic year, teale has been implemented across IÉSEG’s Lille and Paris-La Défense campuses. Ranked as France’s top post-baccalaureate business school and among the world’s top 30 institutions, IÉSEG’s collaboration with teale is part of its comprehensive well-being strategy, reflecting the school’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility and personal development.

Support designed by and for students

This initiative is led by IÉSEG CONSEIL Paris, the school’s Junior Enterprise at the La Défense campus, which manages the program’s rollout among their peers. This student-driven approach highlights the active role students themselves play in safeguarding their mental health.

An internal survey revealed that IÉSEG students prioritize lifestyle habits and stress management, preparation for studying abroad (addressing anxiety and self-confidence), and the prevention of psychosocial risks such as harassment and burnout.

A comprehensive program tailored by teale

To address these specific needs, teale has tailored its content to the student experience. The app now offers targeted videos, podcasts, and articles on topics such as: “4 Ways to Manage Exam Stress,” “Career Planning: No Need to Panic!”, “Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking,” “Suicide and Suicidal Thoughts: What to Do?”, and “Recognizing Moral or Sexual Harassment.”

Additional initiatives enhance the program, including a dedicated WhatsApp channel providing personalized tips (e.g., anti-stress preparation for exams), access to Live Therapy with teale’s partner psychologists in full confidentiality, and organized discussions on mental health, screen addiction, and stress related to academic and career choices—creating safe spaces for dialogue and raising awareness of overall well-being.

Encouraging early results

Early outcomes are highly promising: by the end of the first academic year, nearly 600 psychological support sessions were conducted through the platform. Teale also contributed to IÉSEG’s “Mental Health Day” in October 2024 and the “Care Day” event in March 2025. Numerous panel discussions were held on both campuses.

“We are proud to support IÉSEG, a school renowned for its human and societal commitment. This partnership is a major milestone for teale: helping young people navigate student life more positively, overcome academic pressures, and build a solid foundation for their personal and professional futures,” said Julia Néel Biz, co-founder of teale.

“Providing mental health support to our students goes beyond a service—it represents the school’s deep commitment to their well-being, success, and personal and professional growth. Student well-being is a core priority at IÉSEG, integral to our CSR strategy and our vision of the student experience. Through this partnership, we ensure every student feels supported, heard, and fully accompanied throughout their time here. Thanks to teale, we offer concrete tools to help them better understand themselves, manage stress, and lay strong foundations for the future,” added Maria Castillo, Director of Strategic Development Projects and CSR lead on IÉSEG’s Executive Committee.
