I am currently working as a Corporate Risk Manager at Erste Group Bank AG in Vienna. My focus is on financial analysis and underwriting for corporate clients, assessing their creditworthiness and monitoring risks.

The Master in Finance at IÉSEG provided a comprehensive and well-structured curriculum, combining both technical and soft skills. The international environment and group projects fostered collaboration and practical application of concepts. I particularly valued how the first semester allowed us to revisit core finance fundamentals — especially Accounting, which helped me learn the “language of finance” and formed the basis for everything that followed — before diving deeper into more advanced topics.

I especially enjoyed the Corporate Finance and Risk Management courses because they combined strong theoretical foundations with hands-on case studies directly relevant to my current work in risk analysis and underwriting. I also found Firm Valuation particularly interesting, as it provides a clear understanding of how companies build value and make strategic decisions.

The Master in Finance gave me a solid technical background in finance and risk management. The mix of quantitative courses, practical case work, and presentations prepared me well for the challenges at the EIB and now at Erste Group Bank. It also strengthened my confidence in handling complex financial analyses and in communicating my findings to stakeholders.
