18 new professors join IÉSEG to develop its academic faculty

In the framework of its strategic plan for 2016-2021, IÉSEG is continuing to develop its academic team by recruiting 18 new professors-researchers.

This policy of strengthening the academic faculty is part of the School’s objective to provide its students with a unique, intercultural pedagogical experience and to be recognized on an international level for the quality of its research.

The new members of the academic faculty (14 international and 4 French professors) have a Ph.D./Doctorate from some of the most prestigious institutions in France and abroad (see below).

The School is made up of 137 permanent full-time professors on the Lille and Paris-La Défense campuses: 82% of them are from outside of France (47 nationalities overall) and 100% have a Ph.D./Doctorate. The 18 new professor-researchers are:

Management Department (Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Information Systems, Operations Management)

• Christine Abdalla Mikhaeil, Professor in Information Systems Management (Ph.D, Georgia State University, Robinson College of Business).
• Johan Bruneel, Professor in Entrepreneurship (Ph.D, Faculty of Economics & Business Administration Ghent University).
• Felipe Guzman, Professor in Human Resources Management (Ph.D, IESE Business School).
• Kaveh Mohajeri, post-doctoral researcher and Professor in Information Systems Management (Ph.D, Virginia Commonwealth University).
• Reza Mousavi, Professor in Information Systems Management (Ph.D, ESSEC Business School).
• Pierpaolo Parrotta, Professor in Human Resources Management, (Ph.D, Aarhus University).
• Mohammad Reihaneh, Professor in Operations Management (Ph.D, Univeristy of Massachusetts).
• Caroline Rieu Plichon, post-doctoral researcher/and Professor in Change Management (Ph.D, ESCP Europe – arrival in November 2018).

Economics and Quantitative Methods Department:

• Uyanga Turmunkh, Professor in Economics (Ph.D, Erasmus University Rotterdam).

Marketing and International Negotiation Department:

• Goedele Krekels, Professor in Marketing (Ph.D, Ghent University).
• Thomas Leclercq, Professor in Marketing (Ph.D, Louvain School of Management, UCL – Université Catholique de Louvain).
• Matthijs Meire, Professor in Marketing (Ph.D, Ghent University).
• Martin Storme, Professor in Negotiation (Ph.D, Université Paris Descartes).

Finance, Audit and Control Department:

• Fabrizio Casalin, Professor in Finance (Ph.D, University of Strathclyde).
• Tinghua Duan, Professor in Finance (Ph.D, University of Edinburgh).
• Marie Redon, Professor in Accounting (Ph.D, Université Paris Dauphine).
• Nicolas Eugster, Professor in Finance (Ph.D, University of Fribourg).
• Cinthia Valle Ruiz, Professor in Accounting (Ph.D, Complutense University of Madrid).

With some of the most well rounded teams in Europe in Negotiation and Corporate Social Responsibility, IÉSEG also possesses strong teams in all branches of management.

The intercultural and international dimension (47 nationalities) of the School’s academic faculty allows the School to have an international approach regarding the different subjects taught, and to train students to work in an intercultural context.
