A team of three students wins AccorHotel’s international competition

cocoonAt the end of June, a team of three IÉSEG students won the Takeoff Challenge, an international competition organized by AccorHotels with the “Dream Mobile Hotel for Mobile Guests” theme.

“We decided to design a hotel in an airship. We named this project ‘Cocoon’, because of its balloon-like shape,” the students Justine Boyer, Pauline Cabanes and Paul Malingre, explained. “During this competition, we were able to put our knowledge acquired at IÉSEG into practice: a photomontage, development of a pitch, creation of a business plan and presentation in front of a jury made up of 16 members.”

After a preliminary phase and a 2-day final in Paris, the jury selected their project as the best out of 180 projects from over 30 countries.

“Winning this competition allowed us to develop our network within the company (Paul got an internship in the headquarters’ financial management department). It also helped confirm the appeal of the hospitality industry and enabled us to experience two unforgettable days in a large CAC40 company. Overall, this was an incredible experience!” the three students added.
