During a ceremony on Tuesday, May 22 at Paris-La Défense, the IMMOCHAN Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with IÉSEG, awarded the  prizes for the CRÉENSO* national social entrepreneurship competition.

This initiative seeks to reward the creators of social enterprises in France in two ways:

–    Support from an IÉSEG Master student. Throughout the academic year, the student assists and supports one of the entrepreneurs nominated in the area of his/her Master specialization: marketing/communication, audit/management control, human resources, management … as required by the supported project. This is part of the Master students’ program, and they receive a grade based on their activities related to this module.

–     The Foundation IMMOCHAN for Social Entrepreneurship awards €20,000 to the three top prize winners (€10,000 for the winner of the 1st Prize, and €5 000 for the 2nd and 3rd places).

Of the 50 or so applications received for the 7th edition of the competition, 15 entrepreneurs benefitted throughout the year from the support of IÉSEG students. In May, the CRÉENSO jury then met to attribute the three top prizes that were then presented at a ceremony at the IÉSEG campus in Paris.

The first prize, 10 000, was awarded to Rézomes (formerly OïkosSphère), a social enterprise which proposes alternatives to synthetic phytosanitary products in order to combine responsible and profitable agriculture.

The second prize, €5 000, was awarded to La vie est belt (Lille), which proposes fashion accessories made out of recycled materials with an inclusive employment policy.

The third prize, €5 000, went to Handivoyage (Lyon region), a platform to reserve accommodation for people with disabilities). Finally, the jury’s special prize (‘le prix coup de cœur’) went to Latitudes (Paris), an association that integrates the TECH for GOOD pedagogy, notably in engineering and computer science schools..
