Student clubs at IÉSEG: passion, projects, and ambition

At IÉSEG, more than 50 student clubs offer students the opportunity to experience unique moments and express themselves through a multitude of projects. A true cornerstone of the school’s educational approach, student life allows everyone to get involved in initiatives that match their interests, while growing personally and developing valuable skills for their future career paths.

The importance of the School’s student club ecosystem

Every year, more than 1,300 students dedicate themselves daily to the school’s various associations. Spread across the Lille and Paris campuses, they form committed, passionate teams ready to drive ambitious projects. With over 400 events organized each year, student life sets the pace of daily life and fully contributes to the IÉSEG experience.

Supported by the Student Federation (Fédération des Étudiants) as well as the Student Associations (Associations des Étudiants) of each campus, the clubs benefit from genuine guidance throughout the year. Notably, they share a global budget of €2 million to bring their initiatives to life and deliver ever-better experiences.

“At IÉSEG, student life is much more than a mere side activity: it is a unique experience that gives meaning to our journey. Getting involved means moving from theory to action, taking on challenges, creating concrete projects, and sharing powerful moments with other students. Beyond the skills you develop, student life is a real lever for personal and professional growth. It is an opportunity to take the initiative, collaborate, and make an impact, while contributing to the School’s dynamism. Joining a club means daring, learning, and building together.”

Louis VALLIER, President of the Student Federation 2025-2026

As many clubs as there are passions

At IÉSEG, everyone can find a club that suits them. Entertainment enthusiasts bring the campus to life through festive events that foster connections, notably through the Student Council (Bureau des Étudiants – BDE). The world of gaming also has its place, with board game and video game tournaments organized by the Gaming Council (Bureau des Jeux), alongside charitable competitions and streams by IÉSEG E-Sport.

Sports enthusiasts can join the school teams, participate in tournaments, or discover new disciplines thanks to the Sports Club (Bureau des Sports), which offers more than 20 activities. There are also more original projects, such as IÉSEG’Lisse and its surf week, IÉSEG Outdoor for extreme sports, or Teams, an inter-school tournament that brings together 13 campuses and over 1,000 participants.

On the media and communication side, students create and broadcast content via IÉSEG Radio Lille with its live shows and podcasts, REC and PIB, which capture the highlights of student life in photos and videos, and IÉSEG Studio, dedicated to filmmaking and cinema culture.

Cultural clubs showcase creativity in all its forms through the Arts Council (Bureau des Arts – BDA) and events like the Trophée des Arts or DJ sets, COMED’IÉSEG and Les 3 Coups with their musical comedy and theater projects, as well as L’Atelier and Mode IÉSEG Paris, which explore the world of fashion through runway shows.

Public speaking is also well represented by La Tribune, renowned for its debate and eloquence performances. La Capsule invites guest speakers with exceptional backgrounds—athletes, military personnel, survivors, adventurers—while TEDxIÉSEG Paris organizes annual conferences to offer an inspiring look at the world.

Finally, several associations help students bridge the gap with the professional world. HIMYSU organizes a student start-up pitch competition, IÉSEG Finance hosts finance-focused events (trading competitions, networking, conferences…), and IÉSEG Conseil, named the best Junior-Enterprise in France, allows students to work on real client projects.

Community and solidarity outreach also play a major role: the Humanitarian Council (Bureau de l’Humanitaire) organizes many initiatives such as soup kitchens, blood drives, and clothing collections, and participates in the Téléthon. Défil’Cancer spotlights women battling cancer through an annual charity fashion show, while Women in Business promotes the place of women in the workplace and society.

A springboard to the professional world

Getting involved in a student club at IÉSEG also means developing concrete skills directly applicable to professional life. Project management, teamwork, or taking the initiative: students learn by doing, close to real-world challenges.

“The Junior-Enterprise is much more than just a club: it is a real springboard toward our professional career, but also a unique human experience that allows us to grow and commit to projects with real impact.” – Chiara BERTIN, President of IÉSEG Conseil Paris, 2025-2026.

“The projects and events of the Sports Club confirm that my commitment to this association has been a real springboard in my education, allowing me to take on concrete responsibilities while enjoying an enriching professional experience.” – Lucas PACAUX, President of the Lille Sports Club, 2025-2026.

“Being part of the Arts Club was a particularly memorable experience, at the intersection of creation and collective commitment. I learned how to turn ideas into concrete projects, bring artistic initiatives to light, and create shared moments on campus. This involvement led me to collaborate with diverse profiles, structure events, and infuse a genuine cultural dynamic. Beyond the skills developed in organization, communication, and teamwork, this experience above all strengthened my conviction that art plays an essential role in uniting, inspiring, and bringing a community to life.”

Léo ANTOINE, President of the Lille Arts Club, 2025-2026.

A human adventure above all

Beyond professional skills, this commitment represents a true human experience, helping students gain confidence, discover themselves, and forge strong bonds.

“Student life at IÉSEG is at the heart of the student experience. Much more than a mere asset on a resume, it is the opportunity to join a committed collective and drive concrete, useful, and ambitious projects. Beyond skills, student club involvement is a powerful human adventure made of meaningful encounters and challenges. Getting involved means living an experience that leaves a lasting impression. So here’s a piece of advice: go for it!”
