IÉSEG partners with LUISS Business School in Italy for the Family Business Management Executive Education program

Logo LUISSIÉSEG is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Italian school LUISS Business School. The Executive program in Family Business Management, which will start in Italy in February 2019, is at the heart of this new collaboration.

Created by LUISS Business School in collaboration with IÉSEG, the objective of this program is to prepare the successors of family businesses in Italy to take over and develop these businesses. Around 30 Italian participants will take part in this program, which will take place over a 6-month period.

In the framework of this partnership, IÉSEG will provide its expertise, and use experience from France, by leading two of the programs’ modules in France (out of 10 in total). These two modules, each two days long, will focus on the themes of strategy, business models, and business finance.

During their time in France, participants will have a unique experience to develop their skills as future leaders: workshops and conferences led by IÉSEG experts, family business visits, and meetings with French families.

“Family businesses are at the heart of French and Italian economies,” Antonio Giangreco, Director of International Relations at IÉSEG, explained. “We are delighted to create this new partnership with LUISS Business School, a renowned school with which we have worked for several years now. Thanks to the international dimension of this program, participants will be able to develop, benchmark, and share their knowledge with experts in France.”

Some of the main objectives of this program are to help participants:

•    understand the typical market pros and cons of a family business;
•    assist participants in devising an effective family business corporate governance model;
•    facilitate intergenerational leadership succession;
•    provide the tools required to manage the marriage between family tradition and the need for innovation;
•    understand the opportunities and risks associated with the process of internationalization of a family business;

More information about this program is available on the LUISS website (in English).

The two modules at IÉSEG will be given in English. Representatives from family businesses in France can participate in the two modules at IÉSEG, as well as two modules in English in Italy.
