An IÉSEG student launches an online ordering, reservation, and click and collect solution

Hugo Vetrano, 2nd-year Grande Ecole Program student and his childhood friend Baptiste Dechelette, recently launched an online ordering, reservation, and click and collect application. This solution is designed for both individuals and local businesses/shops. Their start-up, Clycky, has also featured at the recent (online) Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which usually takes place in Las Vegas.

Hugo explains that the main objective of the application is to help the development of local shops and businesses. Passionate about technology and web development, Hugo and Baptiste had exchanged with storekeepers during the first lockdown in 2020. “We realized that they didn’t necessarily need a website but a marketplace for their customers.” A few months later, after exchanges with professionals in the field and developers, they started the launch of the Clycky project!

Business and shop owners in France can now integrate their offer into the Clycky application by entering their contact details, location and products (photo, description, price list, etc.). As for individuals, they can access shops and local stores from the mobile application (Android and iOS) or the website (https://web.clycky.com), place orders and pay online. They then pick up their order directly from the store or have it delivered to their home if the shop offers delivery.

Hugo explains that Clycky is one of the platforms labeled by the government to support restaurants, stores, etc. in developing their services in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For Hugo, this project allows him to combine his passion for technology and code with entrepreneurship. His first short-term objective is to continue to develop the number of customers in his region (the Lyon area) before developing further in France and why not abroad. About fifty companies in the region are already referenced on the platform.

Hugo is delighted to be able to carry out this project in parallel with his studies, which, according to the student, gave him an important basis for his project, especially in terms of organization, methodology, and project management. He also hopes to benefit from the IÉSEG network to develop his activity in Lille soon!
