OVERVIEW OF THE MBA – LEADERSHIP AND CODING TRACK
The MBA – Leadership and Coding track is a one-year MBA program based in Paris, designed for professionals with at least 3 years of work experience.
The program aims to develop managers and changemakers with a cutting-edge learning journey combining state-of-the art business and coding courses.
Building on a fully integrated program combining Management and Coding courses in two respective global leading institutions, the MBA – Leadership and Coding track equips and inspires professionals who seek to understand the increasing complexity of a changing digital world in a career that leverages their analytical skills and their versatility in the language of both business and tech.
The MBA – Leadership and Coding track is part of the IÉSEG HUB MBA which offers three different specializations: an Executive track, an International track and a Leadership & Coding track. All participants benefit from the solid support of the hub in terms of career program, common modules and learning expedition, corporate events, alumni interactions etc.

Objectives of the MBA – LEADERSHIP AND CODING TRACK

DURATION
The program is offered on a full-time basis and consists of 13 months including 9 modules and 1 capstone project. The curriculum provides a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge, business, leadership and coding/web development competences.

IÉSEG MBA – Leadership and Coding track attracts responsive professionals who have an interest in management, technological innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We welcome participants from a diversity of backgrounds who are critical thinkers, potential leaders, and problem solvers with an international outlook. A technical academic or coding background is not required for admission.
PROGRAM CONTENT
The MBA – Leadership and Coding track is a one-year MBA program designed for professionals who seek to understand the increasing complexity of a changing digital world.
Building on a fully integrated program, combining management and coding courses from two leading international institutions, the program will help the participants to leverage their analytical skills and their versatility in dealing with both the languages of business and tech.
Based in Paris, the MBA is offered on a full-time basis and consists of 2 consecutive terms of courses followed by a 1-term capstone project. It’s designed for professionals with at least 3 years of work experience.
The program aims to develop managers and changemakers with an inspirational learning journey, combining state-of-the-art business and coding courses.
By joining IÉSEG’s MBA, participants join a highly diverse community that facilitates collaboration and exchange across the three programs. Participants develop expertise in their chosen track and widen their horizons by interacting with participants from other programs during common courses and activities, enabling them to develop a broader outlook on tackling challenges. Their learning experience via business games, live cases, simulations, entrepreneurial projects, equips them with the skills and the confidence to lead successful transformations in a variety of contexts.

Electives
In order to personalize their learning experience, the participants choose from a series of electives each semester. Lean management, Problem solving and decision making, Leadership and team development, Mindfulness & Management, Cybersecurity, Business plan development, Innovation management, Fintech, International negotiation, Consumer behavior, Sales techniques, Big data analytics, are examples of the electives to choose from.
The choice of electives offered evolves every year to take current trends, access to experts, etc. into account.

Capstone Project
The capstone project of the program is an important component that helps integrate learnings from the coursework through a significant practical project. In general, there are two options for the MBA capstone.
The first is to engage in a project of professional experience in the form of an internship, regular work contract or entrepreneurial effort that involves full-time commitment for four to six months. The second is to take up a professional consultancy thesis that seeks to address an applied managerial problem under the guidance of an academic advisor.
In both cases, the projects are structured within specific time frames following applicable guidelines. The most significant among the requirements is the submission of a structured professional project report or professional consultancy thesis. Participants are free to opt for the type of capstone they would do to complete the program within the overall time frame of the program.
This module helps participants to adopt a broad strategic view of (digital) organizations, considering both external and internal factors. They will develop and strengthen their strategic mindset, i.e. their capacity to tackle complex strategic challenges and formulate wise and consistent strategic solutions and plans, at various functional and corporate levels. Participants develop a well-rounded view of the organization and leverage functional knowledge to make managerial choices influencing both organizational performance and organizational sustainability These tools will help them to be effective business leaders, entrepreneurs or consultants.
This module helps in understanding issues associated with the exercise of leadership in digital organizations for a sustainable future. They consider complex organizational challenges that they are likely to face as they progress towards top-level leadership positions in various sectors. In addition, the module strives to enhance personal skills and capabilities that are needed to function as effective leaders. It explores the challenges of functioning as an ethical changemaker in top managerial and leadership positions.
To thrive in an age of disruption and digital transformation, a changemaker’s mindset is needed, to operate at the individual, collective and organizational levels. In this module, participants become more adept at using Design Thinking, Lean Start- Up, Business Model Innovation, Digital Marketing, and to manage the process of turning new ideas into reality, and build organizational capability to adopt customer-centricity, iterative experimentation, and cultures that support rapid learning cycles.
They also consider the potential of Emerging Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science to fuel disruptive innovation in different sectors and lead not only in managing innovation but also in adequately executing it with a hand-on practical approach driven from real issues that companies are facing.
This module enables participants to adopt a focused approach and sharpen their capabilities in select areas that are highly relevant for digital organizations. Through a range of electives, participants explore, a wide array of topics that include FinTech, Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, Lean Management, Negotiation, etc. Participants can select those that best suit their career projects and leadership ambitions in multinational companies.
Participants also take part in a final applied integrative project with Le Wagon.
In this module, participants explore the big societal challenges that deeply affect business. Businesses need to respond to them through various initiatives at sectoral, organizational and stakeholder levels. The exercise of leadership in the current global context calls for a deep understanding of these issues to pursue equitable, sustainable strategies that contribute to building a better a world. This module responds to this challenge by exposing participants to the complexities involved in addressing these grand challenges.
In this module participants will focus on the important idea of transformation that is a central concern in the exercise of leadership. The current business context is characterized by a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) environment. This makes it necessary for leaders to be able to initiate and manage complex changes.
In response to this imperative, the module focuses on tools and techniques to lead effective and desirable change at multiple levels. Participants will have opportunities to engage in practical activities to apply their learnings in specific simulated and real-life scenarios.
The program offers participants various support components that can be pursued in a customized way according to their personal and professional projects. Participants can attend selected language courses according to their specific levels (beginner, intermediary or advanced). Moreover, there are opportunities to participate in and sometimes lead various activities and events. Some of these involve interactions with area experts or industry leaders in emerging fields exposing participants to new business trends and developments.
