IÉSEG supports Vertbaudet in its transformation through the training of its managers

While the clothing and ready-to-wear industry has undergone a profound transformation over the past few years, with the digitalization of the sector, changes in consumer behavior, and the development of second-hand clothing, reinventing themselves and adapting to these trends have become essential for these companies in order to keep growing.

Founded in 1963, Vertbaudet is a French retailer specializing in the distribution of children’s goods, including ready-to-wear, home products, childcare and toys. The company understood the importance of anticipating these changes and therefore started its transformation a few years ago to gradually become the French leader of the digital platform in the children’s market.

After two years of rapid growth, which highlighted the company’s strengths in the digital field, as well as its resilience and agility, Vertbaudet wanted to accelerate its transformation process and get its teams involved in this new strategy, in particular by training them. Vertbaudet has therefore chosen to rely on IÉSEG during 2022 to train all its managers and give them the keys to become true leaders in the acceleration of the brand.

Together, Vertbaudet and IÉSEG have co-developed a complete training program, the “Vertbaudet Leadership Program”, which lasts one year and addresses the strategic, transformational and human challenges of the northern company. The first class of 20 leaders began their training in September 2022. The program combines training modules on self-knowledge and strategic management, team projects, visits to inspiring companies and individual coaching. Throughout the training program, participants put into practice what they learn and discover during these workshops and visits while working in parallel on strategic projects around the company’s new leadership model. A look at oneself and an individual transformation are necessary to create and carry together the new strategic vision of the company, to foster the conditions of innovation and to bring all the teams in the transformation project of Vertbaudet.

IÉSEG and Vertbaudet have chosen to place the human aspect at the heart of this tailor-made program to enable participants to release energy, develop emotional intelligence, learn to lead and support, communicate in an impactful way and boost projects. These are all essential skills to encourage the support and commitment of all the company’s employees.
